Site Layout

Here is some additional information for competitors:

 

Registration and set-up

Competitors will be able to register on Wednesday from 2:00 until 6:00 and on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. and on Friday from 6:00 a.m. until 6:30 a.m.  Please note the change in time on Wednesday from what was stated on the premium.  This change is to ensure we have time to set up registration.

 

Crating

Indoor crating is available in the large riding arena.  Spaces and aisle ways will be marked.  Please ensure you are not crating in the aisle way or you will be asked to move.  Space is also available outside for those competitors who choose to set up a shade tent.  These spaces will also be marked.  Again please ensure that you are not setting up in the aisle way.  There will be limited VIP crating for those competitors who are running 3 or more dogs.  This will be marked by signs. 

 

Competitor Set-Up

Competitors are able to set-up their crating (in either the indoor arena or outdoor shade tent area) on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and from 8:00 until 7:00 on Thursday.  Please do not arrive before 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday to set-up as this will be strictly enforced.  The only exception is for those who are helping with set-up.  Please note the change in the time on Wednesday from what was stated in the premium.  As you can understand there is a tremendous amount of work involved in setting up for this event.  There is a process in place to ensure everything gets accomplished in the correct order to ensure efficiency.  If you wish to come early to help set-up you won’t be turned away!!

 

On Wednesday and Thursday the driveway will be one-way to allow for safe flow of traffic through Halton Place.  Please drive slowly and follow the signs to the competitor parking and unloading area.  Vendors are an exception to this.

 

Off leash areas Dogs must remain on leash and under control at all times when not competing or warming up, except in specific off-leash areas.  These areas will be marked.   There is one large grass ring where dogs and people are not permitted.  This will be clearly marked.  Please respect the signs posted.   Competitor hospitality tent

Please visit the competitor hospitality tent sponsored by Dog Sport.  Scores will be available to view in this location throughout the competition.  No dogs in the competitor hospitality tent.

 

Wristbands

Wristbands will be required to enter the competitor hospitality tent and into the crating area.

 

Water

Please note that limited water will be available at the site due to the drought we have had.  Competitors are strongly encouraged to ensure that they bring plenty of water for their dogs and themselves.  Water will be available for purchase at the food tent.

 

Water will be available for the Doggie Pools to help cool dogs off.  However there will not be a hose available for use.

 

Reminders

  • Dogs must be exercised in designated areas only.  You must pick up after your dogs on the show grounds and at your hotel.  Anyone found not picking up will be excused from the trial site with no refund of entry.
  • No dogs in the competitor hospitality tent, food tent or beer tent.
