Trail Conditions  February 7, 2012

 The course is drying out well--still a few muddy spots in low areas.

Need help now filling in holes and ruts and with drainage. 


Bluff Creek Ranch is hosting the Warda Race on Sunday, February 12, 2012.

We will be closed to the general public except as spectators.  We will be open to

the general public on February 10 & 11.  

                                         Tent camping is 1st come, 1st serve and there is plenty of space.


Despite the lifted fire ban for the county, we have reinstated a partial fire ban on the ranch. there is too much dry burnable material on the ranch to make ground fires safe until we get some of the dead trees and mast removed.  Charcoal fires in grills are acceptable; wood fires and ground fires of any sort are banned.

Bluff Creek Ranch located in the rolling hills 60 miles east of Austin, is a working cattle ranch that has the distinction of being the first Mountain Bike Ranch in Texas.  There are 7.5 miles of well shaded, rolling, single track trails that wind through hardwoods and pines.  Runners also are encouraged to try out our facilities which include camping, fishing, swimming, picnicking , with full bath facilities.  We also sell All Natural Texas Longhorn Beef that is antibiotic and hormone free.  Check-in at the ranch is open from sunrise until 10:00 pm and the trails are open 24 hours.

 If you want the latest trail and weather conditions call the ranch @979-242-5894, we don't mind folks calling us as early as 6:30 AM if you want the latest.

Do you have a bike sitting in the garage just collecting dust?  How about donating it to an orphanage?  Bluff Creek Ranch will gladly take any bike that needs a little repair and you can receive a tax write off.
