Tutorial is for the Pedestal Style Based Witch:

Things You Will Need:

1-10' long PVC Pipe 1/2" diameter                                 PVC Pipe Cutter Or Hand Saw

1-5' long PVC Pipe 2" diameter                                       Screws & Screw Diver

1- 4way PVC Connector 1/2" Diameter                           Drill & Drill Bits

1- " T " PVC Connector 1/2" Diameter                             Black Pipe Insulation

4- 45% Connectors                                                          Jig Saw & Blades

1- Large Urn Base                                                           Plaster of Paris

Plywood 1/2" Thick                                                        ( Big Enough to fit Urn Base )

2 lg- rolls Duct Tape                                                       Gloves for you

3 Cans of Great Stuff                                                      Tin Snips or Wire Cutters

Chicken Wire                                                                   Marker & 1 Can Black Spray Paint

Witch Costume                                                                Wig for prop Head

Let's Begin:

PVC FRAME:

Make a Standard PVC Frame you will need: 1-Neck piece approx 8" long..2- Shoulder pieces approx 4" long each, 2- Upper arm pieces approx. 6" long each...2- Lower arm pieces approx.  5" long each, 1- Torso rod approx 6" long. Drill & screw these into your  4-way connector in a cross fashion... You Will Only need from the Waist up.

after you have drilled and screwed all the screws in to hold the joints.. Remove just the arms.

   The Body:

Using your Chicken Wire and Duct Tape Fashion a body for your Witch, by rolling the Chicken Wire and making a tube. Duct Tape this Tube all over. shaping the waist and shoulders as you go..

If, You Have help to do this part Great.. After you have 3 layers of Duct Tape on her body you then can make body Parts to fill her out by using store bags stuffed with other store bags or stuffing.. Duct  in the Breast area or Buttock ..Once you have the shape you want cut a slit down the back and Insert the PVC frame you made then put the foam head on and duct tape all around the neck area. And Re-close the seam.

Make sure you have no spaces in the tape and no holes anywhere..   Then you will be ready to use your Great Stuff .. PLEASE WEAR GLOVES !!    Great Stuff does not come off of skin Please Be Careful !!!

Once you have Everything duct Taped start to spray your Great Stuff in to the body,In straight lines.

Don't Cover up the Torso Peg..Spray around Head and Neck area and the shoulder area to help keep its shape.Once this has set up you will be ready to do the base..

The Base:

Take your Urn Base an place it On the plywood and trace around the Bottom of base. With your jig saw cut his circle out On the inside line so the plywood will fit inside the base bottom. Carefully screw this in place. After you have screwed the plywood in and duct tape around the outer edge bottom to seal the crack up between the plywood and the urn..Once this is done then turn the URN over and On the top of the urn cut a hole big enough for the 2" pipe to fit.. I also Made a notch at the top of the pole for the shoulder "T" to fit into.  And the lenght of the pole will be approx. 3 1/2 feet high. Now with your Mixing bucket and your plaster start to mix enough plaster to fill the base of the urn up. WORK FAST !! Pour the wet plaster into the base. It Takes about 15lbs to fill this up !!

Before the plaster sets up push the 2" pipe in to this hole and carefully keep it straight.. wipe of any plaster you may have gotten on the out side of the urn.. let this setup and couple of days. Then you can spray paint the new Base Black...

 To set her up place the Pedestal stand On your porch and lift the Witch's torso up and place torso pin inside the 2" Urn Column with shoulder in the notch. Now you can dress her. Happy Halloween !!
