FEEDING YOUR PUPPY

Your puppy has been on a High Quality Diet.  We start our puppies on ROYAL CANINE PUPPY STARTER at about 6 weeks of age.  From 4 to 5 weeks old they are fed with evaporated goat milk + Goyurt + soft ROYAL CANINE PUPPY STARTER. They nibble with momma at this time and start the changeover to solid food very well at 6 weeks.  From 6 to 8 weeks we blend in ROYAL CANIN  PUPPY , this food is available at most Petco/PetSmart stores.  You will receive some of this with your puppy.

We require that you feed your puppy a High Quality Food.  There are many foods available and if you prefer a different brand that has been proven to you in the past, please slowly mix it in with the ROYAL CANIN PUPPY and your puppy will do just fine.  Do this over of about 2 weeks  for best results.  We don't want a feed changeover just as soon as puppy arrives to your home.

Your puppy has been eating about 2 cups of food per day.  Puppy's eating habits will change once in your homes.   Feed puppy 4 times daily.  If puppy gobbles, feed him a little more, if he leaves some, feed him a little less.  Puppy will adjust to its new home and eating habits will be more stable.  If puppy does not seem to want to eat at first in its new home, don't be alarmed, he must miss his momma and litter mates.  Puppy has a whole new world to explore and sometimes eating will have to come later.
