STARBRIGHT PASSIONXTRODINAIR   Born May 8,2001

Passion came to live with us in September 2002.  Passion had not worked out for the previous owner and had been returned to her breeder Sharon Redmer in Michigan. Fortunately for us the previous owner was one of Jerry’s students and she let Sharon know we were interested in having Passion.  Jerry had liked what he saw in the dog and knew she would be just the right dog for me.  After interviewing us and having Passion vet checked Sharon agreed to let us purchase her.  Moe Foley, one of Sharon’s friends happened to be going to a show in Rochester, NY and made a slight detour on route and delivered us our Passion.

I loved her from the minute we got her. Jerry was correct, she was the right dog for me, we clicked instantly. We started working with her right away, tracking, agility and obedience. She caught onto everything so quickly. It was 5 weeks from the day we got her that I put a Canadian Kennel Club  Tracking Dog Title on her.

Agility came easy to her and all of a sudden I had a very fast dog, with me being left far behind her in the dust. My Schipperke Belle was never this far ahead of me in agility. Jerry had a great idea, Marcia Halliday was coming down to us for tracking lessons so he asked her to help me with Passion. Marcia and I worked together every Wednesday after tracking lessons. I watched her work her dogs and she helped me with my dog. Passion has now earned several agility titles in C.K.C. A.K.C. and NADAC and continued to excel.

Passion began her obedience career. She  earned her C.K.C.  CD in one weekend, with 4 – 1st place finishes and 3 High In Trials.

She continued to compete and improve her performance and soon was achieving a close to 50% High in Trial at trials she entered.  In 2010 she won 11 High in Trials in the first 13 Trials she competed in.

She competed in the 2005 Hit of Hit's for Canada and won.  She won again in 2007, 2008 and 2009.  In 2010 she won the Open Division at the Hit of Hit's and won the award for Lowest points lost (4.5 TPL total from 3 judges)  She completed her Canadian OTCH, and then her American OTCH and UDX. and along the way achieved a perfect 200 score.   In Canada she completed her Master Obedience Trial Championship and then her Grand Masters Obedience Trial Championship.  She won the Purina National Obedience Trial in 2008, 2009 and 2010 (CKC Charity Event) and has received two perfect 200 scores at the event.  She continues to compete in a limited number of Obedience Trials and is working on her Rally Titles.

Passion is a perfect name for her. She is my Passion. She is smart, sweet, and beautiful. I am very thankful for her.
