BIOGRAPHY

There is no question, bands are in nowadays and the scene is getting more exciting especially for OPM acts. From the record label that produced the country's top bands Eraserheads, Cueshé, 6cyclemind, Pupil and Brownman Revival, Sony BMG Music Entertainment introduces another discovery that will set another trend in the music scene in the person of CALLALILY armed with their debut album "Destination XYZ."

Their first single "Stars" is fast-gaining heavy airplay on top radio stations and its music video can now be seen on favorite music channels. The band is composed of five young, goodlooking and talented college students Kean Cipriano, 18 on vocals; Aaron Paul Ricafrente, 19 on bass; Tatsi Jamnaque, 18 on guitars; Alden Acosta, 17 on guitars and Lemuel Belaro, 19 on drums.

As fresh as the exact meaning of their name, Callalily was actually derived not from a flower but from a bread that lead singer Kean liked when the band was just starting. Even before the album was released, the band has already created a steady following and has generated a lot of buzz with their gigs and when they front-acted during the shows of 6cyclemind.

Songs from the album were written by the band themselves and were culled from experiences-their own and others'. It expresses different emotions and youthful sentiments and reflects their varied musical influences such as the Goo Goo Dolls, Vertical Horizon and Green Day. Produced by 6cyclemind guitarist Rye Sarmiento, other tracks include "Pasan," "Take My Hand," "Magbalik," "Yakap," "Kung Kaya Ko Lang," "Takpisilim," "Sanctuary," "Cool Off," "Dream," "Insane" and "The Final Song."
