     The functions of Public Art and Civic Design should be to educate through inspiration. I endeavor to do this through a combination of left-brain and right-brain sensibilities. I approach each project with a whimsical practicality.

     The Bedtime Stories Collection plaques are a way to celebrate the story form as visual artifice and as evidence of the written word as a thing of beauty.      Using quirky fonts suggestive of the narrative voice, as well as a design element,  lift the block print from the mundane to the extraordinary.

     Whether etched on nickel silver, brass, or copper these enduring materials are reminiscent of Moses 10 Commandments carved in stone. The Bedtime Stories are set in a much too often hostile and unsympathetic world these stories can help quiet the soul and remind us of the quiet soft voice of childhood.
