A video card, (also referred to as a graphics accelerator card, display adapter, graphics card, and numerous other terms), is an Image:Gpu-connections.pngitem of personal computer hardware whose function is to generate and output images to a display.

The term is usually used to refer to a separate, dedicated expansion card that is plugged into a slot on the computer's motherboard, as opposed to a graphics controller integrated into the motherboard chipset.

All computers come with a video card, but the type of video card, and the MB of it determine really how great it is. For StreetChallenge Extreme Velocity, only an average video card is needed...the average of probably 128MB Video Card will run it quite well with all 3D settings down, however...if you have the opportunity to improve your video card then you should. Reflections and 3D shadows are really the main feature of this game.

If you are looking to upgrade, this is a video card that has been continuously suggested as a great one not only for quality, but the price is great as well. AGP ATI Radeon x1550 256Meg card and the NVIDIA 7600 GT 256 Meg card

Here are some tips to improve yor Frames Per Second, without buying a new video card:

Using the 3D settings, change everything to as follows:

All check boxes un checked...
