This event has replaced the monthly meet-ups previously held at Alamo Square Park. *
This particular event began in June 2009, but some members of our group have been meeting up since early 2005 at various
locations. We started with a few dogs, but now that the breed has grown so much in popularity our list includes over 100 dogs.

~ ~~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Purebred Havanese ONLY ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~	Non-Havanese are asked not to walk with us. We meet at a public location, which we share with many non-Havanese dogs (large & small). They are, of course, equally entitled to enjoy the area freely, but because there is plenty of space for everybody we politely ask them not to walk with our private group. We welcome companion Havanese, show Havanese, and breeding Havanese - they are all equally beautiful, lovable, and perfect creatures at our events.
Self-Managed Event	By attending you agree to help sustain our group as it is intended to be (Havanese only, no leashes, etc.), and not to expect that somebody else will take care of issues that arise.
No Leashes	Dogs cannot play or socialize on leashes.
No Treats, Balls, Toys	These things keep the dogs playing with us rather than each other. We’ll be flexible about treats, but please ask for permission before feeding anything to a dog other than your own. And try not to let treats distract the dogs from playing with each other – some tend to obsess about treats if they know you have them.
Just humble, down-to-earth dog play	We enjoy sharing experiences and dog care tips, but “experts” and discussion of things like breed standards are discouraged. Every Havanese is a perfect Havanese at our gatherings.
Every Sunday - 10:00 AM sharp - Year-Round - Rain or Shine	The location is only shared with our mailing list (join below if you currently have one or more Havanese dogs in your household). If you arrive late you may find it difficult to catch up with the group.

The list will not be used/shared/sold for any commercial purposes. It is exclusively intended to help our Havanese stay in contact and meet up.

OFF-LEASH LAW: Off-leash privileges vary by park. Each each dog owner is

responsible for keeping their dog's off-leash activities within legal areas.

Tickets are sometimes issued for violating leash laws, and can be very expensive.

Our meet-ups should remain completely within the legal off-leash areas.
