So you want to learn/explore Linux without the hassle/"danger" of installing?

1) You can use a "Live" CD or DVD - this is a CD/DVD that you put into your computer and boot from (you may need to change the BIOS settings to enable you to do this).  You can then do much of what you can with a Linux installation - there are limitations.

2) You can use a Linux emulator to explore some things - it is NOT designed to run as a substitute Linux system.

3) If you have a powerful computer then you can consider Virtualisation.  This means that you will install and run Linux in a safe evironment from within a window.  This explanation needs to be clarified. This needs to be expanded and/or an example given.
