"Rocky Mountain High" Prismacolor Pencil on Color-Aid Paper. The John Denver Memorial Peace Cloth recently asked me to do a series of T-shirts illustrating the songs of John Denver. The T-shirts will be sold as a means of raising the necessary funds to keep the Peace Cloth an ongoing concern. This is the completed image for the first shirt in the series (fall 2004).
"Eagles and Horses" Opaque Watercolor on Clayboard (fall 2005), the second image painted for a T-shirt for the John Denver Memorial Peace Cloth, illustrating the John Denver song "Eagles and Horses". The nebula in the background was painted from a photograph of the "Eagle Nebula" that was taken by the Hubble Telescope.
"Yellowstone, Coming Home" Opaque Watercolor (fall 2007). The latest image painted for a T-shirt for the John Denver Peace Cloth, illustrating the last song that John Denver wrote, which was imspired by the return of the timber wolves to Yellowstone Park. I utilized the Native American medicine wheel as a symbol of the circle of life and the return of the natural balance that John sang about.
"Peace Prayer" Photoshop (fall 2007) The John Denver Peace Cloth also asked me to create a special image, utilizing Photoshop, of John Denver in front of an actual Peace Cloth panel which they printed on a T-shirt, as well.
