Guy's foster dad writes...
Guy is a charming 8 year old weimaraner. He was rescued, emaciated, from a Brooklyn shelter. Since then, he has gained a lot of weight, and is living a healthy, happy life. Despite his age, Guy has the youthful exuberance of a dog half his age. He sometimes shows dominant traits with his foster brother weim, always with peaceful results. Guy really enjoys playing with toys of all types, and has no problems with chewing furniture or surfing counters. He is a sweet boy who deserves a peaceful home.

Guy was taken in by NYSWR from a shelter in the NYC area - he was starving when turned over to the shelter. He has gotten healthy and happy in his foster home and has now gotten neutered.
We believe he is 8 years old. He is a sweet boy who loves life and loves getting fed every day!Please fill out an application on Guy!

OBIE
OBIE (Oberron) is an owner return. 
Obie is fighting with his Dobie brother. He is 2 ½ - 3 and neutered. He was FKA as Mingus and we do not think when he was turned into NYSWR originally his owner was very forthright, as when he was taken to the vet for his neuter (this was over a year ago) he was unable to walk. He suddenly got better, was neutered, and has been fine ever since. No other medical history.
He has lived with older children & does fine but has not been exposed to younger kids. He is potty trained, and walks well on a leash. He did get obedience training and the training came with a “lifetime guarantee”.
He needs some more training as he is not well socialized and will sometimes growl at strangers. He walks daily to the park & is off lead, without incident.
He will need an owner who is a strong personality (as most weims do!) and should not be in a home with another alpha-male-dog.
Obie has had a rough time of it and needs a forever home with weim experience. He lives with older children, but has not been around young children.

Greta is a very affectionate girl. She loves being pet. She also likes to play with toys, including balls and sticks, though she doesn't do "fetch". Greta is a sweetheart who deserves a loving home for the rest of her life. (Written by Laurifer, a volunteer at the shelter who spends a lot of time with Greta.)
