An unconventional entry into the world of art

In May 1999 whilst visiting Glastonbury, a psychic lady, upon being introduced to me asked what type of art I painted. A little smugly, since my belief in all things psychic at that time was almost nil, I answered that I did not paint anything and never had! “Ah, but you will & you will be very successful” came her response. Had it not been for what happened subsequent to that meeting I would probably not even recall out conversation by now.
In June of the same year, quite by chance, I was introduced to yet another lady claiming to be psychic whose first words to me were “Did you know you are Vincent van Gogh reincarnated?” I must admit to an audible laugh at that point and told her that I very much doubted her claim .

Those two encounters obviously put the seed of growth into my head because, in August that year I had an overwhelming urge to paint. I went to the local art shop, bought the smallest canvas I could, together with a few oils, and began a love affair with painting that continues to this day, trying every painting style i could.
For Christmas that same year, a friend of mine bought me a book on great artists. You can imagine my surprise when, on reading the information about Van Gogh I discovered that he died, and therefore stopped painting, at the same age as I began painting, in the same month! In fact, the day after Van Gogh died !!

All coincidence? Or destiny? I like to think it's the synchronicity of the universe in action.
