I never want there to come a day
When I will wake and hear them say
You've gone
I never want the sun to rise
On a day when I can't see your eyes
Or touch your face or hold your hand
I need to make you understand
I LOVE YOU....
Trapped within my field of dreams
Surrounded by your boundaries
Their shadows stand so dark and tall
But I feel no sense of guilt at all
From dawn's bright light to night's dark sky
Your face lives on in my minds eye
No I never want to face that day
I couldn't bear to hear them say
You've gone
Our moments together will always be
Kept forever in my memory
Your eyes, your smile, your touch, your smell
Such memories that time cannot dispel
Though tears threaten to flood my eyes
Deep in my heart I realise
That there will eventually come a day
When I will wake and hear them say
You've gone
And so I sleep content to dream
Believing all is as it seems
And in my dreams you'll always stay
Loved and cherished in every way
No more worries, no more pain
Nothing will ever hurt you again
No - I never want to face that day
Because .......I LOVE YOU!
