Awake again, another night of restless sleep,
Dreams of a passion missing from my life
The bedclothes lie untouched on one side,
Reminding me of the loneliness I feel
To wake and be so alone with no one to hold
No arms to enfold me, whispered words of love
Lost in the depths of my dreams
The loneliness surrounding my heart like a mist
I rise to another repetitive day of disillusionment
Alone in a world of people in love
A world of contentment and companionship
A world I feel no part of
Help me to heal this broken heart
Bring me your love, envelop me with it
Let me waken in the morning
And never feel lonely again
