In moments of silence
I think of you
Your face in my mind
Imprinted forever
Every line there memorised
Testimony to the passage of time
Is it really that long ago
Since we first met
The smile still warm
Your eyes still the same
As I look into them
The feelings overwhelm me
A surge of love so strong
It engulfs my very soul
The beat of my heart
Pounds in my ears
How I long to hold you
And never let you go
Gentle kisses
Slow caresses
Holding your face in my hands
Whispering to you softly
Telling you never to forget
How much I love you!
