     Le Figaro was first issued on the 15th January 1826.A literary weekly, it became daily in 1866. After a brief interuption during World War II, it has since then never ceased to widen its analyst to all fields of interest: financial, political,scientifical including Le Carnet du Jour its well known public announcement.

LONDON TIMES

Established in 1785, the London Times is the United Kingdom's most prestigious newspaper. The Times sets the pace for reporting and analyzing news. The newspaper has a conservative tone reflected in editorial positions, but does not color its reporting. The London Times has excellent European and International coverage, as well as national.

BERLINER MORGENPOST

The first addition of the Berliner Morgenpost was published on September 20, 1898. The circulation quickly grew to over 160,000 daily subscriptions in only one year. During World War II, the newspaper suspended publishing. However, after the war, the papaer returned. It is currently one of Germany's largest daily newspapers.

Founded in 1851 by Henry J. Raymond and George Jones with the pledge for "responsible journalism, intelligent judgement and reason for public affairs." The New York Times lives up to its motto "All the News That's Fit to Print" by setting a standard for all other newspapers worldwide. Receiving more Pulitzer Prizes than any other newspaper, the Times counts an esteemed group of outstanding reporters.

THE LA TIMES

Founded in 1881, the L.A. Times continues to be the paper of choice for the easy living lifestyle of Californians. In February 1964, Time magazine named the Los Angeles Times one of the top ten newspapers in the nation. Excellent reporting of national and international news as well as important coverage of social and cultural news. Boasting several Pulitzer Prize winning reporters along with many other awards for Public Service. In September 1992 the L.A. Times held the position of being the number one metropolitan daily newspaper.

PRAVDA

Established in 1912, Pravda (meaning truth) is the voice of the Communist Party. A major Soviet newspaper, it expresses the official policy and ideology of the party to the people. Organ of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, Pravda relayed the Soviet govenment's postion on world events and internal issues.

THE AUSTRALIAN

The Australian was a unique publishing venture to pioneer a national daily newspaper to serve all of Australia. It was printed in the nation's capital, Canberra. Today, innovation and technology allow the newpaper to be simultaneously printed in every capital city of Australia. The Australian is the only national daily newspaper in Australia.

THE WASHINGTON POST

In 1877, Stilson Hutchins founded the first daily Democratic newspaper in the nation's capital-The Washington Post. Today, the Post has a reputation for aggressive investigative reporting, as well as being the nations's leader for coverage of federal government and national politics. Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein, two of many outstanding reporters for the Post, won Pulitzers for their coverage of Watergate. The Washington Post rivals the New York Times as the nation's most important newspaper.
