New York, NY (June 8, 2009)—Casio America Inc.  continues its work with award-winning agency REVOLUCION to promote two of its leading Exilim digital cameras; the EX-S5 and EX-Z29, in the U.S. Hispanic market. As part of an ongoing initiative for the global electronics company, REVOLUCION created a national digital campaign featuring beloved Univision TV host Lili “La Flaca” Estefan. Best known as the co-host of the hit show El gordo y la flaca (The Fat Man and the Thin Woman), La Flaca was the perfect choice to represent Casio’s line of colorful, slim cameras.
Ms. Estefan was named one of People en Español magazine’s 50 Most Beautiful People in the June 2009 issue, making this month’s Casio endorsement particularly powerful. “Lili embodies style and fun,” said Roberto Alcazar, executive creative director for REVOLUCION, from the agency’s Miami photo shoot. “This makes her a perfect spokeswoman for these stylish, user-friendly cameras.”

Casio is reaching out to Spanish-preferring adults, nationwide, who are considering a digital camera purchase this month for Father’s Day and graduation celebrations. To that end, REVOLUCION developed a Spanish-language microsite, www.LaFlacaDeCasio.com, and dynamic web banners for highly-trafficked Spanish-language websites.

The Casio EX-S5’s 10.1 megapixel resolution maximizes image clarity. Other features include YouTube™ capture mode, which allows users to instantly record and upload videos, 3x optical zoom to minimize blurriness, and a wide 2.7 inch LCD screen. Award-Winning Agency Leads American Heart Association's NYC Awareness Program with Broadway's Tony and Grammy winning "In the Heights" and Amor 93.1 FM.

New York, NY (Feb 13, 2009)—The American Heart Association has selected independent communications agency, REVOLUCION, to conduct their premier Hispanic public relations initiative in the New York/metro area. The agency will oversee a program entitled HEARTS IN THE HEIGHTS, which promotes the American Heart Association’s movement, Go Red Corazón, with the support of Broadway’s Tony Award-winning Best Musical “In the Heights” and Spanish Broadcasting System’s WPAT-FM 93.1 Amor.

“Heart disease is the leading cause of death among Latinas and not enough of us know that,” says Damaris Lasa, Regional Director, Multicultural Media and Marketing for Heart Association. “REVOLUCION presented us with a PR program that will get Latinas to take notice and, we hope, make lasting lifestyle changes for their hearts.”

“In the Heights” performances between February 22 and 28 2009 will support Go Red Corazón with free giveaways and a special announcement by Tony Award nominee, Olga Merediz, who plays “Abuela Claudia”.

93.1 Amor, the number-one Spanish-language radio station for pop and romantic music, joins AHA in an effort to promote the cause. The station will feature interviews with cast members from “In The Heights” during morning show “Amor Temprano en La Mañana” to encourage audiences to make heart-healthy choices. 93.1 Amor will also give away tickets for “In The Heights” to its listeners.

“With the box office boom around ‘In the Heights’ and the loyalty of Amor’s Latina listeners, Go Red Corazón is poised to deliver a vital message about heart health to those who need this information most,” says Amy Gómez, Managing Partner, REVOLUCION.

On Friday, February 27, Ms. Merediz will join Darlene Rodriguez from WNBC’s Today in New York on WNBC and the Today show’s Hoda Kotb for the 2009 Go Red for Women Luncheon at the Waldorf-Astoria, where two tickets to “In the Heights” will be auctioned as part of the fundraising event.

The Hearts in the Heights program comes on the heels of the American Heart Association’s Casting Call event at Grand Central Station earlier this month, where former Mun2 host Julissa Bermudez joined Telemundo 47 anchor Odalys Molina to speak on behalf of the cause.

REVOLUCION WINS SILVER TELLY FOR AD COUNCIL PSA

Top Industry Award for Ad Council/AdoptUSKids Campaign Marks Agency's 8th Telly

New York, NY (July 23, 2008)---REVOLUCION, a leading Hispanic ad agency based in New York City, landed a Silver Telly Award for their Ad Council/AdoptUsKids spot. Less than 10 percent of entries are chosen as winners of a Silver Telly, the highest honor. This marks the eight-year-old agency's eighth Telly and the second award for the campaign, which received a Silver Creativity Annual Award in 2007. The spots may be seen at www.revolucionnyc.com.

Currently there are over 16,000 Latino children eligible for adoption in the U.S. foster care system. REVOLUCION created a multi-media campaign to encourage Spanish-speaking families and individuals to consider adoption from foster care system with a national call-to-action to "Complete a life. Complete your own."

"Adoption messaging has long been focused on creating an emotional connection to the children," says Federico L. Mejer, chief strategy officer at REVOLUCION, "but the adoption experience is also powerful for the adoptive parents We saw the most compelling approach as the one that focused on the parents' sense of fulfillment." The campaign urged adults to help "complete a life" by completing their dreams of starting or expanding a family.

For 29 years, the Telly Awards has recognized the finest in creative work and is one of the most prestigious distinctions in advertising and video and film production. Each Telly statuette is hand-made by the craftsman at R.S. Owens, the same firm that produces the Oscar and the Emmy Awards. Telly winners represent the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators, and corporate video departments in the world.

"With 13,500 entries from all 50 states and around the world, this year's competition has been one of the most competitive and successful in the long history of the Telly Awards," says an award spokesperson.

"LA FLACA" STARS IN REVOLUCION AD CAMPAIGN FOR CASIO®
Digital Camera Innovator Touts Slimmest Model with Lili "La Flaca" Estefan

New York, NY (June 12, 2008)---Lili Estefan, the beloved co-host of “El Gordo y La Flaca” (“The Fat Man and The Thin Woman”), is lending her slim frame to promote the launch of Casio’s EXILIM EX-S10 digital camera into the U.S. Hispanic market. The daily gossip program, “El Gordo y la Flaca” stars Ms. Estefan and Raúl de Molina and is Univision’s top-rated celebrity gossip show, marking its tenth anniversary this year. The Hispanic ad agency REVOLUCION saw a natural link between the two: the EX-S10 is the world’s smallest and thinnest 10.1 megapixel camera* and Lili Estefan is the Hispanic world’s favorite “Flaca”.

“I am so excited to be part of Casio’s first effort to reach out to the Latin community,” Estefan says. “I love to share my vacation photos on ‘El Gordo y La Flaca’, and this gives me an even better way to do it!”

The Hispanic world was introduced to Lili Estefan, niece of music producer Emilio Estefan, in 1986 when she joined the cast of "Sábado Gigante", the leading international TV program, with 80 million weekly viewers. A Cuban native, Lili Estefan has gained worldwide popularity during her career as an entertainer and model.

“La Flaca is the perfect spokeswoman for Casio,” says Alberto Rodríguez, partner and chief creative officer at REVOLUCION. “Pairing the Hispanic world’s most famous ‘flaca’ with the world’s thinnest 10 mega-pixel digital camera paves the path for Casio’s first steps into the Hispanic marketplace.”

Through a series of dynamic and rich media banners, La Flaca showcases different EX-S10 benefits. All of the banners drive prospects to a custom Spanish-language website designed and programmed by REVOLUCION: www.laflacadecasio.com. The site details the camera’s features and offers a store locator function to drive prospective buyers to retail tie-in partners Best Buy and La Curacao, the powerhouse electronics retailer in the Hispanic market.

The EX-S10 has entered the Hispanic marketplace just in time for the memorable occasions of Father’s Day and graduation, as well as the Christian celebration of Confirmation, which many Hispanic families celebrate.

At less than one inch deep, the incredibly slim camera is easy for people to carry and shoot spontaneous snapshots and YouTube™-friendly videos. The 2.7”-wide, Super Clear LCD screen delivers high contrast and brightness. The camera also features YouTube™ Capture Mode, Drag-and-Drop for iTunes™, 10-megapixel resolution, 3x Optical Zoom, Auto Shutter, and a Movie Button. REVOLUCIÓN WINS EIGHT DAVEY AWARDS
SILVER AND GOLD FOR CELEBRATED HISPANIC AGENCY

New York, NY, January 8, 2008— REVOLUCIÓN Hispanic Communications has been awarded three Gold Davey Awards and five Silver Davey Awards for its work in 2007. Gold Awards were given to the campaigns for the TV, Radio and Print AdoptUsKids, Palm Bay International’s Straccali Tuscany and the Santa Rita’s Out-of-Home. Five Silvers were given for Palm Bay's Sam Telmo wine’s new packaging, Condesa de Leganza wine’s new packaging, Blue Fish “Go With the Flow” advertising campaign and an HBO Latino mobile billboard for Hispanic Heritage Month. These campaigns can be seen on the agency’s website at www.revolucionnyc.com.

The Davey is an international award honoring outstanding creative work from the best small firms across the globe. “David defeated the mighty Goliath with a big idea and a little rock. That is the sort of thing small firms do every day,” the award committee explains. “The Davey Awards honors the achievement of the creative ‘Davids’, where strength comes from ideas, intelligence and out-of-the-box thinking, not a giant’s bankroll.”

The 2007 Davey Awards committee received more than 4,000 entries from ad agencies, interactive agencies, design and public relations firms. The selection process was overseen by the International Academy of the Visual Arts, an invitation-only body consisting of top-tier professionals from organizations such as AdWeek, Estée Lauder, MTV, Polo Ralph Lauren, Sotheby's, Victoria's Secret, Wired, Yahoo! and many more.

“REVOLUCIÓN was founded on the principle of producing great creative,” says chief creative officer Alberto Rodríguez. “We're small in size—not in capabilities or ideas—and we are extremely pleased to be so amply recognized by the Davey organization.” The Davey wins come on the heels of REVOLUCIÓN’s earning five Creativity Annual Awards at the end of 2007.

REVOLUCIÓN Hispanic Communications is a full-service brand-communications agency headquartered in New York City. Fully Hispanic-owned, this independent company enables brands to harness the awesome potential of the Hispanic marketplace and revolutionize their category dynamics. Founded just eight years ago, REVOLUCIÓN to date has received 43 industry awards. REVOLUCION is one of the most awarded Hispanic ad agencies, and in 2007, AdAge ranked REVOLUCIÓN among the Top 20 Independent Hispanic Agencies in the U.S. for the second consecutive year.

The Advertising Council, The US Dept. of Health & Human Services (HHS), Adopt-US-Kids and REVOLUCION launch campaign to encourage Hispanics to Adopt Children in Foster Care.

NEW YORK, December 12, 2007

The Advertising Council, in partnership with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' (HHS) Administration for Children and Families (ACF) and the Collaboration to AdoptUsKids, announced today the launch of a comprehensive campaign designed to encourage Spanish-speaking families and individuals to consider adoption from the U.S. foster care system.

The new multi-media campaign, created by REVOLUCION Hispanic Brandmakers in NYC, includes Spanish television, radio, and print PSAs, and issues a national call-to-action for parents to adopt children by offering important, accurate information to the Hispanic community about the foster care system and the adoption process. The campaign emphasizes the message that families or individuals can achieve a sense of fulfillment by adopting a child through foster care. It also aims to significantly increase awareness of the need to provide loving, permanent families for children in the foster care system. (MORE)
