"Art lies to reach another kind of truth. . . ." -- Pablo Picasso
As most artists my art is a reflection of my life. Acrylic, conte, oil, or charcoal are all merely a medium for this expression. Since I was a holy terror of a child I've had the inquisitive spirit to discover hidden truth's around me and unearth them into new light. Front to back, inside out, as one of my professor's put it, without dissembling, so that I can show what makes a substance beyond the sum of its temporal state. Alternately changes of light on feet, reflections in spoons, and the energy buzzing from the excited have enthralled me since I first lifted a crayon. From kindness, to cruelty, and physical to emotional I hope my artwork expresses the history of my knowledge, and inspires a similar relationship in you the viewer. |
