WHAT IS A CORE?
A rebuildable core unit is required on every unit. We stock 1,000s of remanufactured transmissions and rebuildable cores. We supply a unit from our inventory based on the vehicle application information. Your rebuildable core unit will take its place in the supply line. We require a core deposit to insure that we receive the rebuildable core unit. However, local pick-ups and TP installations may not require this deposit.
SHIPPING THE CORE.
Shipping your core back to us is simple and hassle free. The standard domestic shipping charges cover the return shipping of your core unit. You will be supplied with a bill of lading that will arrive with your newly rebuilt transmission. Secure your core unit to the pallet that your new unit came on, call the 800 # on the bill of lading and schedule to have your core picked up at your convenience. Your unit must be returned within 30 days to receive your core deposit refund.
CONDITION OF THE CORE.
The condition of the core unit is very important. The core unit must be rebuildable.
Make sure to include the converter, and that the unit is not missing any solenoids, internal parts, bell housing, tail housing, fittings or bolts, and be sure the case isn't damaged or broken. Units with excessive hard parts damage or internal wear will not qualify for a refund.
YOUR REFUND.
The refund of the core deposit is determined by the condition of the core unit. If the unit is rebuildable, then you will be refunded your deposit. If the core unit is damaged as mentioned above you may not receive your full core deposit refund. Core refunds are issued weekly and you can expect to receive your refund within 4-6 weeks after we accept the unit.
