The 2012 art season is FAST approaching and I'm getting some new works going!
Washington Fine Arts Festival 2011 was a Fun Time! Once again, scratchboard was not well known, but there was another scratcher there! I guess the word is getting out about this Medium and I'm doing my best to get it out there even more.
Peoria Heights Fine Art Fair. May 7th, 2011: It was my first fair that I was displaying and selling at and it was a blast! Turnout was great, and a LARGE amount of people were exposed to Scratchboard. I would have to estimate but I bet only about 20 people knew what scratchboard was! I had fun explaining the process. Another fun part was watching people trying to figure out what they were looking at as they walked into the tent. I simply stated that everything you're looking at is a scratch. They then usually looked at me like I was crazy then started asking multiple questions. I was exhausted at the end of the day, But It was a good tired.

2nd Place, "Squirrelly" 8"x10" Ampersand Scratchbord, Semi-Professional Under Glass category.
