Google Bans BMW.DE
by Anshul Jain on

Google has banned BMW.DE from appearing on its search results since it used a technique called Doorway pages. Basically these pages are stuffed with keywords that allow for SEO. BMW was using this for 2 years and had recently removed it. How Google spotted this in unknown but certainly praiseworthy as Google has not allowed a big firm like BMW to cheat.

Endulkar...??
by Anshul Jain on

I had said in a recent post that is it the beginning of the end for the Little Champion. Well, Indiatimes ran an article where the headline was Endulkar. This may be another lean patch for the master but he is losing the faith of his most ardent supporters. Several former cricketers are also questioning the way the master has played. Only time will tell whether Greg Chapel can correct what John Wright was unable to do.

India Do it Again
by Anshul Jain on

India have done it again in style. After setting themselves an impossible target of 607 to win they got all out for a paltry 265. Tendulkar again missed out an oppurtunity to prove himself and I have begun wondering whether its the beginning of the end for the Master. Pathetic. Really pathetic. Chk out the full story at www.cricinfo.com.

As Usual..the Indian cricket team
by Anshul Jain on

Just when I was hoping that the indian cricket team would kick Pakistan's ass, the team collapsed with Tendulkar again not scoring when he was needed the most. At present Pakistan has a 150 run lead and with 3 days to go, it is likely that India will lose the series 1-0. Onanother note, Ganguly played a priceless knock of 34. Though it may not be enough to secure his place in the team, it helped India concede only a 7 run lead.

Are Public Wireless networks really secure..
by Anshul Jain on

Recently while sitting at the college canteen I noticed that an unsecure wireless network was really fast and realible. I started to wonder whether this was a way to gather usernames and passwords of unsuspecting users. I have used it sometimes but only for general surfing. This might not be true but no harm in pondering as to why would anyone leave their wirless network so freely available to the public in an age where there is so much stress on security.

Whos Better Gates or Jobs
by Anshul Jain on

Everybody believes Gates to be the villian of the tech industry. A capitalist whos only aim is to make profits. But look more closely and you will observe that Gates has donated much more to international causes such as Aids or malaria. Jobs has not even donated to a single charity and never spoken on issues that concern the general public. It seems as if hes turning into the capitalist. You can get the entire post here.
