This is supposed to be the 1st virus for Mac. The basic reason why virus coders do not write any code for Mac is that even if the virus succeds and infects all Mac machines on the earth. A new piece of malware called Leap-A or the Oompa Loompa worm targets Mac OS X, the first known worm to hit up Mac users. While everyone is making a big deal about the fact that computer baddies are now no longer in an monogamous relationship with Windows, Oompa Loompa's really not that bad, and won't infect those who practice safe computing. Mac users, here's what you need to know in a nutshell.

Oompa Loompa spreads itself through iChat. It will look like someone (possibly from your buddy list) is attempting to transfer a file called latestpics.gz (see image above). For the worm to affect you, you have to accept the file, unzip it and then launch it, something you shouldn't do with a file like that on any operating system.

This is too good. Turns out that the computers at Chicago Subway system use Windows and sometimes the firewall isnt up and the system displays a warning. The pics are damn cool.
