Ashtanga Yoga is a living tradition. Sri K. Patthabi Jois (Guruji), has been teaching uninterruptedly in Mysore South India the same method that he learned from Sri T. Krishnamacharya in (1927). Ganesha Yoga Shala is  committed to preserving and expanding this teaching’s by transmitting our personal practice to our students in the same way it has been done for centuries and probably milennia.

 

Astanga Yoga is the Eight-Limbed path to union.

<B>Astau= 8  <I>Anga=  limb and Yoga= union. It is a mental, physical and spiritual system that through the Vinyasa system brings about vitality, increased awareness and gradually detoxifies heals and relaxes body and mind, giving you a light strong body and a calm mind.
