Using the American Cabinetry Collection from Sears Home Improvement, I measure, design, price and sell kitchens like these in client's homes in a one stop shop appointment. For Sears, the policy is to normally keep the sink and gas stove plumbing near its original location to avoid complications. And If a customer wants to upgrade a kitchen with a dishwasher, then I account for incoming and outgoing plumbing as well as charging for a direct electrical line to the panel box. If we do any electrical in the job, then we are also required to upgrade all the electrical. This includes upgrading the existing switches to atleast one GFI to a circuit. It also requires adding additional electrical switches to comply with the 2-4 foot rule. And if there are 4 existing switches to an electrical circuit, then we will upgrade so that there are no more than 3 switches to a panel circuit. And If there is no more room for switches to be added in the box, then we put in a larger electrical panel up so that there is a direct line to the box for the dishwasher, the Micro hood, and also for the stove if it is hardwired into the wall. The stove may need to be upgraded to 220 amps if it is a plugged in stove.
