Ken is the work horse and does all the hard jobs, ie; cleaning,

cutting, coloring, etc.  He's also a great pyroengraver

as the following pictures will show.  I know my work wouldn't

look as good as IT does if it wasn't for HIS hard work!

I bought my first "controlled heat" pencil type woodburner

about 5 years ago.  I haven't touched it since then, as Ken

found his "calling" when he tried his first piece.

Ken always gets comments about his Giraffes.  People will

sometimes be 4 feet past our booth and all of a sudden,

they'll turn around and come back with a "Is that a Giraffe?"

Ken's frogs and other water animals get a lot of notice also.

Ken's leaf bowls demand your attention whether they're small

or 21 inches acrossl like this one!  His chili bowls and chili pots

always get "oohs and aahs".  When Ken mastered his "feather"

design, in a class he took from Ronna Wuttke, he really felt

he'd arrived as a pyroengraver.

He's also become well known for his large Indian Bear Fetish

gourds, like the one below.
