On the right is the very first, successful, Teneriffe weaving I made!

I found Teneriffe weaving in a book that every beginning gourd My very first Teneriffe weaving!!!

artist MUST have!  It's GOURD CRAFT  by Jim Widess & Ginger

Summit.  I called Jim at the Caning Shop and asked him how I

could learn to do Teneriffe weaving.  He sent me a book called,

FRAGRANT BASKETRY, by Katherine Armstrong   It had about four

different designs, but then I had to figure how to get them into a

gourd.  Through trial and error and about 3 ruined gourds, Ken

and I finally came up with a way of putting the web into the gourd

that looked good. I copied those four designs many times,

but became bored, so it was necessary for me to think up some

new patterns.

Well, the result is what you see here!
