We know it is difficult to figure out which brand to buy. We have access to most major brands,
and we run our own tests to figure out which machines really perform the best.
If you already know which one you want just call us for the lowest price. If you need some help figuring out which one is best for you, we would be happy to explain the different features and benefits of each machine.
If you want to see our review on the water ionizer industry please read below.
This website is not intended to sell you a particular water ionizer. We sell more than one brand. And
water ionizers are only a part of what we provide our members and the general public.
This part of the site was made in frustration because there are so many water ionizer website that conflict each other and each review website has different results. There are many review sites out there that are owned by the manufacturers. We can appreciate great marketing but deceiving people ultimately hurts everyone in buying and selling water ionizers. Call us and we will let you know the pitfalls.
We have reviewed each machine and the claims for accuracy and based on extensive tests have come up with recommendations for our members. Our continued feedback from our members has also contributed to our findings in water ionizers.
We can tell you our experiences with each one. One ionizer might be good for one person but not
for you depending on your water. We can actually look up your city's water report and tell you if
you can get by with the cheap one or you need to buy an expensive unit. We won't just try to sell
you something that you don't need. Most people do need better units unless they want to take
timely measures such as the pumping, prilling, and changing filters on a more than regular basis.
Please remember to take the water ionizer quiz at the bottom of this page for a free no obligation consultation.

HOW DO YOU CHOOSE A WATER IONIZER?
The number one thing people say when they call us is "There are so many ionizers out there,
how do I know which one to pick?" We understand that you are making an investment in your
health, and we are here to help. Our Water Ionizer coach can answer all of your questions. We can
help answer questions about pricing too. Certain models are always on sale. We will do what
we can to make your decision as easy as possible.
The people you will talk to have tested each water ionizer and do have answers to your questions.

Summary: Based on my own research and not information read on other review websites,
I have come up with the conclusion that the top 3 water ionizers that demonstrated quality
over bells and whistles are the Kangen SD501, Tyent MMP-7070, and KYK Genesis 25000.
The top water ionizers in high end market are the Kangen with their closest competitor, the Tyent.
The next market for the price conscious that do not have extremely bad water is the KYK.
All other water ionizers that we offer didn't really come close to the quality of the top 3.
Read further about assembly water ionizers versus original manufacturer's water ionizers.
OUR 3 RECOMMENDATIONS:

This is the new 2009 Tyent MMP-7070
The Tyent, with 7 jumbo sized mesh plates, sets a standard that will be tough to beat. The MMP-5050 was the winner in my tests, but the 7070 now beats the 5050. This machine is not for the budget conscious, but if you are serious about health and you can swing the special introductory price tag, then now is the time to buy.

The KYK Genesis 25000 is an awesome 5 plate machine, and I do like the self cleaning mode on this one. Compact and red.
A great starter Water Ionizer with emphasis on Alkaline water.

Enagic makes the grade with the Leveluk SD-501. A Classic favorite but pricey.
We have routinely given the topic of water ionization to a team of several graduate students in a marketing
research class with no interest in ionizers to write a term paper on ionizer marketing.
These students have never heard of a water ionizer before we approached them. We have let them
borrow the highest advertised water ionizer on the market to do their testing if they see the need.
We had no influence on their term paper. We simply give them the ionizers and give them instructions.
They do not know which ones we prefer or any other influence from us. They compare their
results to see if they compare to the claims made from water ionizer companies and also see why
ionizer review websites conflict each other by giving different results for the same ionizer. The
term paper show which companies are...... and show which companies are...... we also have used
these ionizers for our own tests. We want to see if the tests are accurate and if they compare to the
results from the graduate team. The goal is to see which ionizer review website is accurate. Three
keys to knowing this is how close the graduates results, our results, and the review websites
results align with each other. We find which ionizer review website is not accurate so consumers
will finally get real, unbiased advice so they do not get scammed anymore by ionizer companies
that are now popping up everywhere. We validate each claim and discern how each ionizer
compares to each other. We will have a page soon that expose the business practices (good or bad)
of Kangen, Tyent 7070, Jupiter, Planet water, Life, KYK, Goldfox (coming soon), PurpleLight (coming soon),
and more coming soon! This will be the next phase of our research.
I am determined to find the best ionizer for each type of water. The tests that I have done were
done to find out the most powerful water ionizer based on the starting pH of the water source.
I do not rate the ionizer with the most bells and whistles as the best one although it might have
the highest perceived market value due to manufacturer's advertising.
My Top Ionizer List: To be on my water ionizer list a manufacturer must meet a list of my standards.
You should have the same standards I have unless you want to pay for stuff that I have
found that is not needed but is perceived as a need from advertising.
Water Ionizers that retail for under 700 dollars
A good, no-frills workhorse unit that will provide you quality water at an affordable price. Shares features of
more expensive models but might not have the same amount of the product. It might just have a little bit of
the expensive stone or whatever it is that works but just enough in it to say that "it has it". It may also have
a filter-only mode for purified water, Hot water and low pressure alert, Bar graph display to tell you how much
life your filter has left, and Stainless steel outlet hose for alkaline water.
Best buy for tight budgets. I would definitely use a pump with this one unless you want to destroy
your filters and have to buy filters all the time. It's sad that they "get you" with a cheap machine
that does the job at first but then they make all their money on the filters. You need to decide if
you want a better machine up front that can handle the hardest and most acidic water or if you
want to just use the pump.
Water Ionizers that retail for 700 to 1000 dollars We call these the MICRO VERSIONS OF THE MASTER MODEL THAT IS IS REPLICATED FROM OR RESEMBLES. You probably will need a pump with this or at the very least I would prill the water first so that it
doesn't tax the filters too much and you get to use the unit longer and not prematurely age it.
You can get almost the quality of the $1250 to $1500 machine but it requires a lot more handling...
prilling, pumping, switching the water from one container to another, etc.
Water Ionizers that retail for 1000 to 1250 dollars
THESE ARE TYPICALLY THE MOST POPULAR MODELS AS THEY ARE NOT THE CHEAPEST AND NOT
THE BEST WE CARRY. All features of above models plus ability that allows continued use while self-cleaning, fully
automatic reverse cleaning system which gives you clean, alkaline, ionized water every time you turn on the water.
The ionizers in this range might give you a wait time of 15 seconds while they clean. Some may have this and some
do not. I am not going to say that these are bad or good. It's the middle of the road. You might not need a pump for
this one if you are careful to not let the water come out too much at one time. The more that comes out at once
time the less the machine can make it alkaline and restore the water.
Water Ionizers that retail for 1250 to 1500 dollars
I rate the ionizers in this range the top of the consumer class for personal use. These are good if
high output is not a concern or if you just need an ionizer that will do the best job but do not need
it for high performance. It is not fun when you have to purposely turn the water output very low
just to get their highest alkalinity. This would be borderline if you were using it for a family but it
is not near the commercial quality that you might need if you plan on using it too much. These get
returned sometimes usually due to the output or that a higher alkalinity is needed due to their water
source. One person's water might do just fine with this machine but another person might have such
bad starting point that they need one that is better. A pump is sometimes needed with this.
Water Ionizers that retail for 1500 to 2000 dollars
There is only so much that can go into a portable water ionizer. At this price range it tops off with
just about all the material that you want that the cheaper ones do not have due to cost restrictions.
These typically have a longer warranty and do not prematurely wear out. You typically do not have
to wait as long for the same alkalinity that the cheaper ones do since you don't have to wait as long
for water to come out. These in this price range have more plates in them and are made with more
industrial material. This is as close as you can get to a highest end level ionizers.
Water Ionizers that retail between 2000 to 4000 dollars
In this class, not included the MLM water ionizers. These are the types that all of the lower grade models compete with. These do not have the fancy bells and whistles. They are sturdy and can handle wear and heavy usage easier due to its higher grade components. The machines in this category do not have to work as hard as ones with lower grade components so they will usually last longer and rarely, if ever, have to be sent in for repair. These are machines that are usually not assembled but from the original manufacturer and has gone through extensive testing before hitting the market. The machine is built with money not being a factor and the price is reflective of this. You might pay more up front for a higher end machine like these but you will pay less in the long run.
Water Ionizers at the $4000 and above range
Well, I am not going to say it is worth 4000 dollars. This is good if you want to start a business and
you have the whole town buying water from you at 3 bucks a gallon...and yes, that is a story I hear
every day that chiropractors are charging this amount to use their machine. It is not even a
commercial machine. This machine doesn't give the highest alkalinity since it is not the newest type
like some of its competitors, but it gives very high output. Water Ionizers do NOT lend themselves to
MLM selling because you have to sell 4000 dollar machines to make your commission checks.
People will avoid you if you keep bringing up how they should buy anything that cost over 4000 dollars.
You will wonder why no one invites you to Christmas parties anymore because you keep saying but kangen
is considered a medical device in Japan", not realizing that ALL WATER IONIZERS are considered such all over
Asia. And by the way, Alkaline Water starts to lose its characteristics after 24 hours so stop with the bottling
of samples, Kangen! Many of the ionizers are priced based on quality and some have a 5 times markup,
that is, from the cost to make the unit, which is usually the multi-level type. I do not believe in multilevel
marketing anything. Although it gives people opportunities to make money it raises the prices
and people don't get what they pay for. There is a water ionizer that costs $4000 and people
DO pay it. In my opinion, it is just as good as the ones that sell for half as much. When people
buy the $4000 model, around $2000 of it goes to the downline of people selling it and other
expenses that have nothing to do with the product. I have been researching water ionizer
scams and we are happy to share what we have researched to anyone that calls.
or

5 year warranty versus 5 year warranty:
Some companies might slap on a 5 year warranty to make you believe their ionizer will actually
last that long. Even if this is the case it's not necessarily a scam. These manufactures, usually
assembly companies, will replace the ionizer during that period, if they are still around. An
unprecedented 5 year warranty is the best type. The companies that offer a true 5 year warranty
guarantee their ionizer for up to 5 years. Their components have gone through testing and quality
control before assembly and final inspection. Service on these types of ionizers should never be
required. Manufacturers that hold unprecedented TROUBLE FREE warranties are Tyent (20 years),
Kangen, (5 years) and KYY Genesis (5 years). If an any time during the warranty period, these
companies should send you a loaner while yours is being replaced or repaired. Tyent is the only
company that says they will send a loaner up front before you send yours in. The discounted
assembly models probably won't offer this service which reflects in their lower price tags.

WARNING: STORING ALKALINE WATER
You can lose the high alkalinity of the water if you store it.
Many people are using their friends machines and filling up 5 gallon buckets
or water gallons.

Consumer Notice: Right now Tyent cannot supply the new $2495 MMP-7070 model to all of their
dealers. The 5050 model is available but no one is buying that for the simple reason that their competitor
came out with the $1999 7500 model 7 plates and Tyent had to follow suit. Customers were
convinced that more plates are better so this caused confusion in the market. Although 5 plates
were enough in the MMP-5050 model Tyent had no choice to put 7 plates in their new model. The
5 plated 5050 model sold for $1999 and then they came out with 7 plates with the same price.
The new 7070 model is not mass produced and is not and "assembly" ionizer so it has less profit
margin for stores or the margin that MLM marketeers need to sell and promote this ionizer. You
will not see this in many stores simply because they can't make money with it.
When I called other water ionizer stores what I heard I could not believe...nor will you.
I'm about to tell you what happened. If you recognize the lies I heard you will be thanking
me later. If you don't think many water ionizer dealers lie, listen to what I have to say or hear some of the interviews from unhappy customers and you might change your mind.
Personally, if I hear any more people getting ripped off on this particular ionizer, I am going to have a group teleconference and tell everyone what I know about this company.
Kangen is multi level marketing that makes a great ionizer. It's a 4,000 dollar machine that multi-level marketing reps keep calling me every week to get me to sell them. Yes, I know that there is an eight level tier of profit splitting and the machine is worth about 1800 dollars after the research on the materials that we have found that were put into it.
The MLM companies are doing a good job of introducing the concept of alkaline and acid water to people who would otherwise not know about it but they are over charging from 700 to 2,000 dollars over the real worth of the unit and this MUST stop or I will personally tell everyone what each part of the machine costs to manufacturer because I DO KNOW what they cost to make and it would make the dealer cost seem absurd.
Again, these machines need to be affordable, just like the microwave. The microwave was very expensive at first and now it sells for a tenth of the cost it did when it first came out.
Many people call stores and find what they want, usually taking up a sales persons time.
Then, they search the web for a better price, especially on expensive

Kangen says they have the best ionizer.
Tyent says their ionizer is the best.
Jupiter says there's is the best
KYK says theirs is the best
I do know that the ionizer is the most helpful health machine on the market and manufacturers
are adding any type of bells and whistles they can think of to gain their market share.
What makes one ionizers better than the other?
There are two ways the quality of alkaline water is measured - by how acid or alkaline the water
becomes (pH) and by how much ionization occurs (ORP).
When these machines are prices as high as 2000 or 4000 when you can buy one for under 1000
then there must be something to justify the difference. When you have a MLM company that pays
eight levels down you have to create an artificially high price because the MLM companies have
up to eight representatives need to make money from every single sale. This is good since it helps
get the word out but when people do learn about them then they get ripped off or can't afford one.
MLM "reps" typically do not have a thorough technical understanding of the properties of water,
ionization and how the two together produce health benefits. There are exceptions -- reps who
have really rolled up their sleeves and educated themselves -- but the fact remains that there is
a lot of "bogus" information fed to people who have been to Enagic Presentations. Going to
few MLM presentations does not make one an expert in something, especially something as
complex and technical as ionization. MLM "reps" are often innocently fed misinformation and led
to believe in half truths. Then these misinformed "reps", who are motivated by the MLM dream,
go forth and perpetrate these inaccuracies and mislead naive customers into falsely thinking they
are getting something of great value. The price of MLM models has more to do with compensating
the MLM reps than the actual cost or the comparative technology inherent in their ionizers. To verify
that, simply ask MLM reps about their compensation plan and see how much money is paid to the
various levels of the network organization when one machine is sold. After reading our ionizer
page and you want to know more scams that some manufacturers don't want you to know just call
us. I cannot say their names due to getting sued but I am sure that you can figure it out if you
read "between the lines".

Water Ionizer Buyers Guide
Introduction
Water ionizers are touted as the best purchase you'll ever make. The research performed on
ionized water certainly makes for compelling reading, and anyone suffering from illness is
easily entertained with the results they could personally expect.
BUT a water ionizer is a machine NOT ionized water itself - and the water used in studies is
not produced from the instant-electrolysis-style machine associated with the term 'water ionizer',
but rather from a batch process setup using reagents for precise outputs.
The purpose of this guide is to orient you as to what to look for in a water ionizer so that you
can produce ionized water in your home with the accuracy and reliability that a scientist would
expect, so you want to make the right decision. We could simply tell you to buy a specific device,
but we prefer to educate you in "what questions to ask", as ionizers are most likely a newer
concept to you.
PLEASE DO NOT buy a water ionizer on sight or straight after talking to a sales person. A water
ionizer purchase requires consideration like any other purchase; if you are being pushed for a
quick decision then your hope is being anchored to salvation which an ionizer cannot guarantee.
Facts and figures
Anyone selling an ionizer should know their facts and figures and if they don't should be able to
quickly find out the information you are seeking. You'll want to know:
- Warranty duration and coverage
- Electrode surface area (over 190 Square inches in best for health)
Expected water flow rate on typical municipal supply - Number of pre-set output levels and the expected pH AND ORP at each level (can you modify PH levels)
- Length of time the ionizer can be safely operated for without getting too hot
- Cleaning cycle frequency and duration
- Is the "flow control" electronic or manual
- Single Filter or Dual
- Expected electrode effective life (i.e. how long before the ionizer can not longer attain the
answers to question 4)
Answers to each of these questions are very useful, and for the most part their usefulness is obvious.
Where we can expect a company to stumble is on question 2. They may know the number of electrodes
but unlikely the surface area. The number of electrodes will greatly affect the strength of ionization and
the surface area will as well. The reason you will struggle to get an answer is two-fold. First, the manufacturer
doesn't want you to know and so hasn't told the dealer, as the price of water ionizers is attributed to
the electrode materials (platinum and titanium) so if there's not much of it in there the price is a farce.
Second, the dealer is likely to have never opened an ionizer, removed the electrolysis cell, opened it
up, measured an electrode and done the basic math's. (N.B. we have done this to multiple ionizers).
So here's a list of preferable answers to the above set of questions:
1. A good water filter will have a lifetime warranty, so an ionizer should really have at least 5 years.
2. Ideally the electrolysis cell, being the most expensive part, is specifically covered for effective function
for this time.
3. If an electrolysis cell has a surface area under 7 inches in length, it may become defective after sooner than later.
4. The number of pre-set output levels is only really relevant if they are non-user-configurable. In any
case you want to know the output pH's. The consensus on a recommended range for consumption is
9.3 - 9.8, so you want to know.
5. This is important as many users may run an ionizer for long periods, perhaps to serve many people
or fill a large container. In any case, you don't want to damage a machine and find the warranty doesn't
cover you simply because you had no idea. If you can find a machine without a transformer, go for it.
6. Cleaning cycles are essential but you don't want them to be too inconvenient.
Servicing
In the event of your precious ionizer requiring servicing you want know that it will be dealt with
quickly and effectively, but also, at the dealers expense. This raises two important questions:
Can the ionizer be fully serviced/repaired in the U.S
You do not want your ionizer sent overseas as this will delay things too much.
Control
Different pH levels have different applications, so surely you want to control the output pH precisely.
If pH 5.5 is the pH of the skin then you want pH 5.5, not pH 5 or 6. Please find out the level of control
available to you and how easily and how accurately you can exercise this control.
Control is NOT adjusting the input flow rate and neither is it using a pH test solution.
The water filter (go for a dual filter machine)
Water Ionizers are water filters too, so unless you intend to pre-filter, please ask the following questions:
- Water filter physical filtration level
- The filter should be at least 10 inches in physical length so the water has sufficient travel.
- Rated filter lifetime in liters
- Typical filter lifetime in months
- Replacement filter cost
The answers to questions 2-4 in this section will make straight forward comparison material. For question 1
a little technical information is required.
Typical carbon blocks operate at around the 1 micron level. Ideally a 0.5 microns physical block should be achieved to guarantee parasite and heavy metal removal.
Sometimes a filter is offered with ionizers that claim a bizarrely high level of filtration like 0.01 microns.
Whilst sold as "comparable to dialysis equipment", these clog far too easily, reducing the overall
effectiveness of your investment.
It is normal to filter water in stages, and whilst modern carbon blocks are often 'multi-layered' this
is not comparable to physically separate filters. Traditionally, below 1 micron a 5 micron pre-filter
of wound polypropylene is implemented, off-setting the buildup of large particulate on the finer filter.
Your right to a refund
Given that you have requested all this information, you want to reserve the right to a refund if the
machine does not live up to its promises. Please mention this and ensure the answers to your
investigations are supplied in writing and not just verbally.

Exposure:
Frauds and Customer Complaints (and dealer complaints):
I will expose fraudulent companies at whatever the cost! Who is copying who? Every time there
is a new technology discovered, many ionizer companies wait and buy and copy the materials on their own.
I watch this market and see who starts the wave and who rides it. Although I don't promote
"bottom feeders" I do know it costs a lot to be the first one who brings new technology in.
They seem to battle it out every time the other person brings in something new.
First it was 5 plates, then they came out with 7 plates then Tyent claimed that their 7 plates
were still not as powerful as Tyent's five mesh style plates. Now, Tyent has went all the way
and went overkill and has 7 of their jumbo mesh plates in the mmp-7070. I personally think
that this machine went overboard in their quality but due to all the misinformation over "bigger
is better" or "more plates the better" Tyent decided just to end their 5 plate model even though
I have tested it and it was far superior to any other ionizer. The 7 plates has now made my prices
go up because the competition.
Ionizer Loyalty: I am loyal to companies that do not imitate and do not "hard sell" their customers.
I have investigated each companies selling tactics and will now tell you some of the ways they try to
convince an "uneducated" person to buy right on the spot. First, I do not promote any company that
claims their ionizer to be their own. I will tell you more about "original manufactures vs assembly
manufactures. There is a difference in quality which I can explain to anyone that is interested.
The $2,499 Tyent MMP-7070 requires a consideration that you need the most powerful machine
out there that may be overkill based on your water needs. The $1997 7500 model, in our opinion,
is not a better or worse ionizer than its competitor. One might have different features and one
should look for the power of the machine before focusing on bells and whistles. Tyent offers more
features and more powerful components but this might not be needed and if one doesn't necessarily
"need" the best then they might want to consider the $1997 Life which is $500 cheaper. If
value is your concern get the that one. If you want the high end machine get the Tyent MMP-7070 with
its pricier tag.
Will you be prepared? If buying a $2,499 Tyent or a $1997 Life you might not have to worry
about warranty issues or machine failures but if you are buying a cheap one you might run into
troubles probably after the first 6 months. Nothing usually happens when the machine is new.
If a machine has a 1 or 2 year warranty that is also a red flag. They might tell you that warranty
coverage and service is what makes the machines so expensive. Don't fall for that. A good machine
should last over 10 years. If you are buying a Jupiter you can be rest assured that it will hold up to
its warranty but might not perform like the Tyent, or even the Life.
BEWARE OF CHEAP IMITATION.
Contractual Agreement VS. Gentleman's Agreement:
If there is a water ionizer that is not listed on this website is because of a contractual agreement.
Certain water ionizer companies do now allow us to advertise and promote other ionizers or even
put other companies pictures on our site if we are selling their ionizer. They think that we are
baiting and switching by advertising one companies ionizer and then they go to our site and see
the reviews and buy a different one.
Heirloom Models:The company that now has set the bar
based on our tests (click here to see the tests) is the Tyent MMP-7070. This slightly succeeds the
5050 model that had 5 plates. Although this machine might be more than one needs it is out there
for those that are looking for the best and want to make sure they got the most powerful ionizer
on the market. The 7500 ties in the comparison when the starting pH of the water was over 7 pH
but the larger plates gives the Tyent the winning position when it met the challenge of water with an
acidity of 3 pH. If one has a severe water problem then the Tyent would be the best but if the water
was not severely acidic then the 7500 would be a compromise.
Pricing: Many Water Ionizer companies have set their map price (minimum advertised price) at the
same prices as the original manufacturer's high ticket prices in order for their machines to have a
pperceived value. One manufacture might charge 2,000 for their machine and someone assembly
ionizer company comes in and prices there machine at 2,000. Many companies will price their ionizers
very high just so they can take off 500 dollars to compete with original manufacturer's. A company
can give a few hundred dollars off the price of their ionizer and a customer will think they got the
best deal. I know this scam of "falsely" undercutting the price of an ionizer. I now know how follows
these practices to clearly undercut a competitor by price. (Yes, there are people out there that if they
see an ionizer and a store takes off a few hundred dollars they will buy it thinking that they got a
good deal). How do you tell which is the ionizer that has the "real worth of 2 grand" and not just a
2,000 dollar sticker on it to make you believe its higher quality. (THIS IS WHERE WE COME INTO PLACE.
See our updated NO-TOLERANCE policy. We understand that there is fierce competition among the
water ionizer manufacturer's. Tyent and Kangen (or Enagic) battle out the high end market.
Jupiter and Life compete in their category. KYK and the Gold Fox compete in the lower priced market.
Each of these companies fight for their market share in their pricing bracket. Tyent competes head
to head with Kangen. Life will compete with Tyent. Jupiter might try to say theirs is as good as Life.
And KYK will say theirs is as good as Jupiter... and finally Gold fox might say theirs is as good as
the KYK.... But..I have never heard of the lower price bracket ionizer companies saying theirs is
as good as Tyent. The most they might say is that the people don't need all the bells and whistles
or their water is not so severe that they need to spend 2 grand on an ionizer. I know people will
buy from the people who gives them the right information. I convince people on which ionizer is best
for them based on my research and the videos that optimal living foods.com has made for us. I don't
base my research even on what manufacturers tell me in their dealer training programs. OF COURSE
THEY WILL TELL ME EVERY REASON WHY THEIRS IS THE BEST. My job is to take what they say and do
my own water tests and see if their claims are valid. I do not convince people to buy a water ionizer
based on "smooth" sales tactics. My comparison videos speak for themselves.
We can get almost any water ionizer on the market.
We are one of the few stores that carry the top competing brands.
Ask us about our unadvertised prices that we offer.
We will tell you the ones that work best and the ones that we have had problems with.
