Summer Camp notes by Austin S.

Summer Camp was fun. Everyone had a good time. There were some injuries and quarrels, but we fixed those and had fun. Everyone got a merit badge and the food there was good, but not like my Mom's or Grandma's cooking. We all played games and had prizes. I think everyone liked the trading post and slushies. I bought a knife, a fox skin,a water bottle, and a flint match. Last, everyone in camp attended a Pipestone ceremony, and everyone got a piece of real Pipestone. I am not going to tell the rest, but that was what summer camp was about.
Day 1 - We arrived in the rain from the 3 hour drive and lined up to check in and pass in our medications and get a troop photo. Then we took our stuff to the campsite and unpacked. I bunked with Jimmy.
Day 2- When I woke up, all my troop was ready to go to breakfast and flag raising. After breakfast and flag raiding, we went to our 11:00 merit badges and I go fishing for the merit badge. We went to the dining hall for lunch after lunch we had more merit badges and then to dinner and then to bed.
Days 3, 4, and 5 were like day 2 and fun!
Day 6 - We finished everyone's Pipestone wood and everyone completed the requirements to go to the ceremony.
Day 7 - We packed up our stuff and got into patrol lines to go to the cars and go home.
