 Kyra Clopton is married with four children. Being Owner and Director of Kyra’s Caring Hands Home Daycare Center have been serving families in the Chicagoland area through Social Services and Daycare services since 1994.

 

Mrs. Clopton is committed to improving the lives of families and children in the Chicagoland Area through Early Childhood Development. She has spent eleven of her sixteen years serving the public in the Social Services field working for various non-profit organizations.

 

Her knowledge is extensive having worked in the areas of Healthy Moms & Healthy Kids, Case Management, Housing Counselor, Mentoring, and Tutoring.

 

After realizing the passion she had working with youth, she decided to open her own state licensed home daycare center to continue her quest for educating and working with the youth. Along with continuing her education through City Colleges of Chicago Kyra’s Caring Hands Home Daycare Center was established June, 2005. The center began with three children and quickly grew to 10 children with different ethnic backgrounds between the ages of 6wks to 7 years old providing both full-time daycare as well as before and after-school care. Due to the centers enormous growth, one full time employee was added to the staff.

 

 The center has array of educational components for all ages to help with all developmental stages. A daily age appropriate curriculum was developed for the children using the philosophy of The Creative Curriculum. From science to dramatic play the children continue to learn in all areas.

 

Additionally, Mrs. Clopton received her Associate in Applied Science Degree with Honors in Child Development in May 2010 from Richard J. Daley College. She also is certified in the areas of First Aid, CPR, Food & Sanitation Management, and she continue to enhance her skills through ongoing training in the areas of Early Childhood Development.
