 Kyra Clopton is 36 years of age and married with four children. She is a product of the Chicago Public Schools System. She was certified as an Emergency Medical Technician/Ambulance Driver from the Chicago City College and Chicago Paramedic Association. Kyra is CPR/First Aide certified, also obtain a certification for City and State in Food and Sanitation Management.

 

Kyra attended Kennedy-King College to obtain her degree in Social Work. Before completing that field Kyra switch her major to Child Development. She is currently enrolled at Richard J. Daley pursuing that degree in Child Development. She will be graduating with honors in the Fall of 2009.

 

Kyra worked for over eleven years as a Case Manager with a non-profit organization working with low income families with children to reduce infant mortality also assisting and educating youth and adults.

 

After realizing the passion she had working with youth, she decided to open her own Home Daycare Center to pursue the zeal that she had for educating and working with the youth. Kyra’s Caring Hands Home Daycare Center was established June, 2005. The center began with three children and quickly grew to 10 children with different nationalities between the ages of 6wks to 7 years old. Due to the centers enormous growth, one full time employee was added to the staff.

 

 The center has array of educational components for all ages to help with the developmental stages. A daily age appropriate curriculum was developed for the children that was eager to learn. From science to dramatic play the children continues to learn in all areas.
