Ultra Creative, Fine Artist- Carly Schmitt
Carly Schmitt is a nationally recognized muralist with a strong reputation in fine art, home decorating, and set design. A true artist; Schmitt has a keenness for seeking out challenge and innovation in all her artistic endeavors. She is constantly pushing the boundary between fine art, mural art, and installation, thus creating a true original.
Schmitt was recently featured on ABC Television's "Home Team" program for her impressive mural work on the Vision House in Seattle, WA. Her mural work can be found coast-to-coast in some of the finest homes, commercial businesses and public spaces. The Martha Elliot Health Center, an affiliate of Harvard Medical Center in Boston, and Renton Pediatric in Renton Washington, are just two of the medical clinics that have commissioned her work. Described as "well beyond the traditional definition of mural art," her work it is dynamic, inventive, theatrical and extremely creative.
Fine Arts-trained, Schmitt graduated from Macalester College with a double major in Studio Art and Communications. At graduation, Macalester's Art Faculty honored Carly with their highest award, in recognition of her artistic and creative achievement.
Carly's search for creative inspiration has taken her around the world. While living in Madrid, she had the opportunity to be inspired by works of the European masters in museums and sacred places throughout the region. Her inspiration-seeking travels have also taken her to Hong Kong, Vietnam, Singapore, Thailand, Bali, Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.
Her strong foundation and professional training, make Schmitt a highly-skilled fine art painter whose prolific work is not-easily confined to a canvas. Through her mural work Schmitt loves to create "environments in paint" that have the ability to transport a person to another time, place, galaxy, etc. Artistically, Schmitt is intrigued by the interaction between people and artwork; she wants you to see it, feel it, smell it, and be so surrounded by the art that you can't help but live it; thus her 
slogan, "integrating art and life."
Today, this creative genius and entrepreneur owns her own company which is headquartered in Seattle Washington, called "Artist@Large".
Her work is currently offered to fit most peoples budgets; however, with her growing national reputation for creating -custom-designed art work far above the expectations
of her customers, demand for her work, will soon place this artist's work
in the "collector" category.
