Carmen Electra Carmen Electra was born in Cincinnati (Ohio) on April 20, 1972. Carmen grew up near Cincinnati, and got her first break when a scout for 'Prince' spotted her fronting for a rap group in Los Angeles. She released a self-titled debut album for Prince's Paisley Park label in 1992 and produced a top 20 hit on dance charts with "Get on Up." Carmen is currently in production on her second season of "Livin' Large", the one-hour weekly series from The Heritage Networks. Carmen co-hosts this fast-paced, magazine-format series that highlights the lives and times of the young, rich, hip and famous. "Livin' Large" takes viewers behind the scenes to discover how today's young movers and shakers have made it to the top, and just how good the good life can be. Carmen has numerous films on the horizon. Carmen can currently be seen in the Dimension comedy "My Boss's Daughter" with Ashton Kutcher and Molly Shannon. Upcoming films include the action-comedy indie feature "Whacked!" with Judge Reinhold and Patrick Muldoon for director Douglas James, the dark comedy "Rent Control" alongside Melissa Joan Hart and "Naked Movie" with Christian Slater. Carmen also lends her voice to the Revolution Studios film "Lil' Pimp" and joins Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson in the much-anticipated comedy "Starsky & Hutch." She just wrapped the independent "Searching for Bobby De Niro" and is currently shooting "Monster Island", a MOW for MTV. She also appeared in the Warner Bros. Television movie "Sol Goode" and the indie film "Perfume", which made its debut at the 2001 Sundance Film Festival. "Perfume" is directed by Michael Rymer and has an ensemble cast which includes Mariel Hemingway, Amber Valetta, Estella Warren, Peter Gallagher and Jeff Goldblum. Her other film credits include the box office smash "Scary Movie", "Get Over it", "The Mating Habits of the Earthbound Human" opposite David Hyde Pierce and Nickelodeon's "Good Burger." Segueing effortlessly between the big and small screen, Carmen co-hosted the MTV game show "Singled Out" with Chris Hardwick. She has become a favorite on the MTV Network and hosted "Carmen Electra's Hyper Mix" in Florida last year. Carmen was a serieCarmen Electras regular on "Hyperion Bay" as well as "Baywatch." She has guest starred on a variety of prime-time comedies including "Mad TV," "All That," "Just Shoot Me," "Two Guys and A Girl," Comedy Central's "Viva Variety" "Off-Centre", "Baywatch Nights", and most recently the UPN comedy "Eve." Carmen was seen for two seasons as the ringside commentator on the hit Comedy Central show, "BattleBots." Carmen provided witty insight on the contestants and talked one-on-one with the bot builders as they prepared for their battles. The show was a robotic, gladiator-style tournament, which featured cutting-edge technology and design coupled with razor-sharp saws, flying sparks and crushing metal. Carmen also continues to make special appearances as a part of "Pussycat Dolls Live," a new version of the show "The Pussycat Dolls" which launched in May 2002 at the Roxy on the Sunset Strip in LA. "The Pussycat Dolls" are a contemporary, burlesque cabaret act that was founded as an opening act for Johnny Depp's Los Angeles club, The Viper Room. Reminiscent of Berlin in the 1930's with its lavish costumes and wild styling, "The-Dolls" have a huge celebrity following. The show features a cast of the hottest music video dancers and has featured surprise guests such as Gwen Stefani, Christina Applegate, Brittany Murphy, Christina Aguilera and Charlize Theron.
