Junior Golf Kick-Off Instruction Series

 

     This season promises to be a golfer's delight for all ages.  Chicopee Woods Junior Golf is starting this year with a Kick-Off Series in March.  These clinics will guide the juniors through the basic swing fundamentals and short game mechanics.

     The success of a junior playing the game today depends on the ability to hit shots on the green from a short distance and controlling the speed of putts on the green.  These Instructional Series will focus primarily on the short game in three sessions.

 

                                                                                Dates for the Junior Kick-Off Instruction Series:                                  

 

Session #1     Saturday, March 6th       11:00AM - 12:30PM

Session #2     Saturday, March 13th     11:00AM - 12:30PM

Session #3     Saturday, March 20th       11:00AM - 1:00PM

 

Cost:  $150

JUNIOR MONTHLY LESSON MEMBERSHIP

--2010 --

Juniors may sign up for monthly lesson membership.  The cost each month is $175.00.

Juniors may schedule 1 golf lesson a week (up to 5 a month upon availability).

Lessons will consist of full swing, short game & putting.

This program will give juniors the opportunity to improve their game through weekly instruction and practice drills.

Video Analysis will be used each week to monitor progress and swing changes.

 Juniors are responsible for scheduling the lessons on-line at www.smarterlessons.com.

 

 

Great news!

 

Chicopee Woods will offer 2, FREE of CHARGE, junior clinics each summer. The Junior Program has grown to a new level and we are happily responding as the program is scheduled to increase in participation and in organization. Juniors, ages 8-15 will be able to enjoy the clinics with similar skill levels

 

The Junior Clinics are a huge success every summer.  The weather has been great and 120 juniors enjoy the instruction and fellowship with everyone involved.  Thanks to all the staff and support from the parents that help make every year a success.

 

We look forward to our returning juniors in the summer of 2010.  Have a great school year!

 

 

JUNIOR GOLF SUMMER CAMP

Chicopee Woods will hosts two FREE Summer Camps again in 2010.

Registration is NOT OPEN AT THIS TIME.  If you submit a form it will be deleted.  Registration will be available in April 2010.

 

Camps will be limited to 60 juniors per camp.  Juniors may not sign up for both camps.

Check-in begins at 8:15am (at the practice facility)

Camp times are 8:30am - 10:00am.

 

Please bring your own clubs to the camp.  If you do not have clubs, there will be a few available.

JUNIOR GOLF SATURDAY CLINICS

 

Juniors (ages 6-12) are invited to participate in golf clinics offered on Saturday's throughout the year.

All clinics are scheduled from 9:30AM - 10:30AM

 

Spring Program 2010: $200 (8 weeks)

Dates:     March 27, April 3, 10, 17, 24, May 1, 8, 15

 

2010 Summer Program2010: $200 (8 weeks)

Dates:     TBD

 

Fall Program: $200 (8 weeks)

Dates:     TBA

 

Juniors who would like to participate in all Saturday golf clinics may do so for $500 per year.

SUPPORT JUNIOR GOLF WITH THE NEW GEORGIA LICENSE PLATE!

 

 

The Georgia Junior Golf Foundation (GJGF) is promoting Georgia as "Golf's Major Home" with the creation and sale of a specially designed license tag.  Funds raised through the license tag program will help support GJGF's free services and resources that are provided to all junior golfers in the state of Georgia, including the following:

 

•  Georgia Junior Golfer Magazine
• Junior Golf Clearinghouse
• Partner, The First Tee National School Program
• Statewide Clinics and Workshops
• GJGF web site (www.gjgf.org)

 

"The new license tag was developed in an effort to promote golf in the state while at the same time benefiting young children and future players, " said Kathy Cousart, GJGF executive director.  "The Foundation's goals for the tag include growing the game of golf in the state of Georgia, particulary with children and young adults."

 

Please support the GJGF by committing to purchase a Georgia Golf license tag, and encourage your fellow golfers to do so as well.  The state requires 1,000 commitments before the tag can be produced and distributed.
