These are Pronghorn Antelopes that were seen on March 8, 06 near LaGrande Oregon .. there has been a small herd of 6 hanging around this area and are not to scared of people .. as you can tell I got pretty close to them.. when these pictures were taken they were only about 50 feet away from the edge of the road I was on .. I just sat in my car and started shooting away .. two of them decided to put on a show for me .. :) It was so thrilling to just sit and watch these guys .. and also observe that they do not have the normal hooves like Deer and such .. they have round padded hoofs wich enables them to reach the speed they do, it absorbes the shock while reaching the speeds .. some have been clocked at 70mph, some say they are the fastest animals on earth, some say they ar the second fastest next to the African Cheetah .. But they are the fastest in North America ..
