Jose Guinto is a painter/printmaker and an eductor with an MFA from Columbia University, School of the Arts, New York, NY.  He has show his works nationally and internationally.  He has taught at Columbia University and currently teaches at the California College of the Arts in the First Year Drawing Program and Printmaking Department.  Jose will be Artist-in-Residence at the Lower East Side Print Shop in New York in August 2007.  He was born in the Philippines and currently lives and works in Oakland, CA.
