Daytym Family Preschool realizes the importance of early education. With that in mind, Daytym Family Preschool implements age/developmentally appropriate curriculum that is driven towards providing children with and helping them to master the skill sets being taught in Kindergarten. Children are encouraged, praised and guided to success.

School preparation starts here. This time is very important and vital for preparing children to enter Kindergarten. Here at Daytym Family Preschool the essential and necessary tools are provided to make the transition into school smooth for each child. Core areas that are concentrated on deal with focusing on developing social skills, listening, sharing and cooperating with others. Through drawing, painting and writing, your little one will find expression through creative activities that will enhance mental and motor skills.
It is understood that children in the Pre-K years are easily distracted and have typically short attention spans. Therefore, Daytym Family Preschool makes every effort to strike a balance between not minimizing lessons yet not overdoing, by keeping preschool lessons short and easy. The academically driven curriculum gives children meaningful opportunities to learn and includes the following skill sets:
BEGINNING READING INTRODUCES: - Recognizing and sounding out each letter of the alphabet.
- Combining letter sounds to make words.
- Reading words in simple sentences.
- Recognizing simple helper words.
BEGINNING HANDWRITING INTRODUCES:- How to hold writing utensils, markers, crayons and pencils.
- How to make horizontal, vertical, diagonal and curved lines.
- How to write uppercase letters.
- How to write lowercase letter.
BEGINNING MATH INTRODUCES:
- Recognizing and Identifying Shapes.
- Grouping.
- Recognizing and Identifying Patterns.
- Numeral recognition.
- The shapes of numerals.
- Writing numerals.
- Counting from 1 to 30 (Beyond 30 for children who exhibit the ability)
SENSORY:
- Sand & Water play.
- Other sensory activities.
Through daily repetition and meaningful use, preschoolers pick up mathematic principles, counting words and understanding of numbers without fuss or stress.
