I discovered yoga in my early-40's - or perhaps yoga discovered me - it was a beautifully coincidental and life changing discovery that occurred in the Berkshire Mountains at External link opens in new tab or windowKripalu Center.  I was trained as an artist and lived in New York and Boston, for many years,  but I missed the meaning and community that yoga provides, and the direct experience of creativity in my body.  I have been blessed with an amazingly supportive family; my husband, Michael and daughter, Lily have been essential to my growth and professional success.  Together, we have learned to trust ourselves and each other, to communicate clearly, and to recognize our separate paths.  Life asks a lot of us as human beings, but I believe that yoga encourages our growth and holds the promise for our freedom.

In the past few years, I have begun the formal study of Buddhism and Meditation, studying with many wonderful teachers, and completing a training at External link opens in new tab or windowSpirit Rock Meditation Center in California.
