Guerassim DICHLIEV
was born in Svilengrad (Bulgaria) in 1968.
He began his mime studies with Alba Mime Studio, Sofia in 1989. Soon after that he started interpreting roles in different spectacles of the Company: « BACH », « SEVEN RECREATIONS », « WALK OF ZANNI », « TEARS AND LAUGH »,
« CLOOWNS AND APOLOOWNS ».
Between 1991-1993 he studied in the National Academy of Theater and Film Arts, Sofia (BG), meanwhile participating in projects and spectacles of mime and theater: « THE HEAD OF MAMELUK JABERE » - Saadala UANUS; « THE REGLE AND THE EXCEPTION » - Bertolt BRECHT; « THE CLOWN AND THE GIRL » - Ivan MIRONOV. He worked with several theaters and had his first contacts with the real public: Dramatic theater of Sofia - « SIX CHARACTERS IN SEARCH OF AN AUTHOR » (Luigi PIRANDELLO), First Private Theater - « HAMLET» (SHAKESPEARE), etc.
His formation of mime continues within the MARCEL MARCEAU International School of Mimodrame in Paris between 1993 and 1996, where he was noticed by Marcel Marceau. After he graduated with a diploma, he was invited by the school to become a professor of Mime Marceau - a post that he occupied up to the closing of the school in 2005.
In 2001 he started a mime course of his own in the Centre de Dance du MARAIS - Paris, that was attended by a great number of students. His objective - to keep on popularizing the art that he is so fond of: the Art of the Mime.
Since 1995 he collaborates, interprets, creates and presents different spectacles: « THE ABIME », Company of Poche,'95; « WHITE SUN », written by and with Magali NOEL, '96; « THE CARNAVAL OF GIOVANNI », Salto Company,'96; « THE COLORS of the VOYAGE», Salto Company,'96; « BOWLER HAT », New Company Marcel Marceau,'98 ; « BIP AND STYLE PANTOMIME », with Marcel Marceau, Marcel Marceau Company,'98 « MAITRE CLOWN ON A PIANO PERCHES », Laurent Clairet,'99 ; « THE NEW LADY FROM MAXIM'S »,'01; « TRI'OH »,'04; « DUET SHOCK OF MIME », « TO THE LAND OF MOTHER NATURE » The Drunken Boat Company, '03, « BURNING AQUARIUM », Salto Company, '04-.
Together with his scene work he discovered the world of cinema - he started coaching actors and interpreters of the language of the body:
MARRY TRINTIGNANT and JACQUES HIGGELIN, for the roles of Grapples and Georges Wague in the film « COLLETTE » of Nadine TRINTIGNANT (June/ July 2003);
MICHAEL YOUN for his role in the film « INCONTROLABLE » of Raffy SHART (June/ September 2005)
He also played the role of the BEAR in GUILLAUME NICLOUX film « THE COUNCIL OF STONES » (November/December 2005)
