What is the Dustin’s GreenHouse Globetrotter Program?
Welcome to the GreenHouse Globetrotter program where we believe every child deserves broader horizons and brighter tomorrows. Every Globetrotter Team has components that make it unique but the focus remains constant: expose high school students to the life-changing influences of philanthropic service and International travel. The outcomes are once-in-a-lifetime opportunities that cultivate new perspectives and encourage the pursuit of dreams. This Program began in 2003 and has led student-teams around the world to places like Guatemala, Ecuador, Uganda and Peru.

Information on the 2009 DGH Globetrotter Team Dustin’s GreenHouse is going to try something new this year… We have decided to select an all-female team for the 2009 Globetrotter Program. Don't worry guys; this is not a permanent change. It is a one-time decision that allows us to organize a curriculum that focuses on empowering high school-aged girls.
Spring Curriculum: Our pre-travel curriculum will be organized around 4 pillars: leadership development, skill building, networking and teamwork. Activities will include things like: mentor-mentee relationships, a volunteer service project, a money management class, yoga and guest lecturers.
Travel Destination: Romania
Trip Date: July 20th, 2009
Selection Criteria:
Impact: The effect/influence the opportunity could have on a student’s life
Need: The financial constraints in a student’s life and the limitations those constraints create
