We have a Young Adult Softball League that has been in existence for five years.  Scott Vestnys, out of his love for the game, has volunteered hundreds of hours of his time to work this league.  I am embarassed to admit that Sunday August 13 was the first time I have ventured out to the field to see check it out first hand.  I was happily surprised by the number of people who play in this league.  There was community, fun, jokes back and forth across the field and really good women softball players!!  I got to the field just in time for the surprise the teams had for Scott-- a plaque of appreciation and some $$$$, which people have been collecting for him for over a month.  It was fun being there, and probably would be so much more fun if I could play, but I wouldn't wish that on any team!

Anyway I have attached some pics and would like to see this league continue to grow.   I am really looking forward to next year and invite you to give it a try!!!!  Check back here in February for details for the DSJ YA Softabll League, 2007!
