Your portrait reveals you in art. For this reason, the initial communication and the sittings provide important opportunities for you to reflect on the aspects of yourself you most want to portray and for me to get to know you. The initial sitting will usually be for several hours in a day - with a lunch break. The second sitting is shorter -  for an hour or two or slightly more. Our conversation during these sittings will help me bring out the best in the portrait.

While a photo conveys an accurate likeness, it is also more temporal, something of a frozen moment. A painting offers an opportunity to embody a sense of time and process. The combination of accuracy and interpretation creates a picture that is visually arresting - that invites you to consider it over and over again.
