Contemporary Tibetan Art website launched in Spanish

Celia Dominguez Hernandez launches a website on contemporary Tibetan art in Spanish at www.mechakspain.org

The site provides images and information on New Tibetan Art from around the world, with a focus on

activities in Europe and other Spanish speaking countries.

Mechak in Spanish and Japanese

Two friends of Mechak have taken the intiative of starting work on Spanish

and Japanese editions of the Mechak website. These will not just be language translations

of this site, but will focus on the interests and activities on New Tibetan Art in Europe and Japan.

This will greatly enhance the ability of Mechak to share the work and information on

contemporary Tibetan art. We will make the announcements as soon as the sites are launched.

Waves on the Turquoise Lake: contemporary expressions

of Tibetan art.

The exhibition catalog is in the works and scheduled to be released some time 

in the middle of 2007. Read about this exhibition and symposium in the exhibitions section

Mechak Project Coodinator/Curator 

Tamar Scoggin, who worked as Project Coordinator and acted as Curator

and Co-curator on several projects has left Mechak to pursue other projects.

We all thank Tamar for all her work and passion for contemporary Tibetan art

and wish her all the very best in whatever she does.
