Friends of Bulgaria was established in 1991 to provide humanitarian assistance to Bulgaria. It works to improve the quality of life of children with disabilities by establishing and providing ongoing support, including staff training at orphanages and placement homes. Since its foundation, it has raised more than £300,000 for charitable causes in Bulgaria.
The Christmas Party 2007 raises a record £12,000 ! (Look right for the 2008 party details)
This year, our traditional Christmas Party organized with the Bulgarian City Club and the Bulgarian Embassy in London exceeded our best expectations to raise a record £12,000. A big thank you to all our supporters!
The funds will go to support art and music projects in Pernik, Tran and Troyan; two projects run by ZOV UK in Veliko Tarnovo, and a mountaineering project for children in Stara Zagora. We will provide more details about those activities in the coming months.
Rowing From Oxford to London to Raise Money for Bulgarian Children
This August Bank Holiday a group of Oxford University students will row the 110 miles from Oxford to London to raise funds for Zov UK, a charity working with underprivileged children in Bulgaria.

The 2008 CHARITY CHRISTMAS PARTY at the Bulgarian Embassy coninued the fine tradition of raising funds for Bulgaria's children in need. The proceeds from this year's event will fund projects chosen by FoB and co-organisers Zov UK and the Bulgarian City Club.
