Academic Screening
All incoming students will be given an academic screening in order to help us understand their current skill level.
Kindergarten Admissions: To enter kindergarten, Trinity strongly encourages children to be five years of age on or before September 1st to be eligible for admittance in September of that year. All students entering kindergarten will be screened by a Trinity faculty member to ascertain their readiness for the kindergarten program.
First through Tenth Grade Admissions: All students entering the first grade must be six years of age on or before September 1st or have successfully completed a year of kindergarten. Students entering succeeding grades must have completed the preceding grades. Students applying to first through tenth grade must complete an academic screening administered by a Trinity faculty member. First through fifth grades will be administered the Woodcock-Johnson Assessment, and sixth through tenth graders will take math placement and essay tests.
