What happens to my child's Individualized Education Plan (IEP) when he is enrolled in the Imago Dei School?

When a student enters the Imago Dei School with an existing IEP it is transitioned to an Individual Service Plan (ISP). According to the ISP, the public school district will offer consultation services in the areas where the student is currently receiving services.

 

Do you offer services such as speech therapy and occupational therapy?

We offer speech services on a contract basis. We have an occupational therapist who observes our students and consults with our teachers and educational therapists to design a service plan that is implemented in the classroom.

 

What is the teacher-student ratio in the Imago Dei School?

The teacher-student ratio is currently 1:2.5 and can go as high as 1:5.

 

What are the hours of the Imago Dei School?

The hours of IDS are:

1st-3rd grades 8:00-2:30

4th-8th grades 8:00-2:55

 

 Do you offer mainstreaming for Imago Dei School students?

A student will be mainstreamed for academics if it is determined to be the most beneficial academic environment for that student.


What services are included in the Imago Dei School?

In addition to core academics, most IDS students receive music therapy, Feuerstein's Instrumental Enrichment, individualized occupational therapy, physical education, and social and adaptive skills training. Speech therapy and educational therapy goals are addressed on a daily basis in the classroom as well as during daily one-on-one educational therapy sessions.
