Trinity is Accredited

Since opening their doors in 2001, Trinity Classical Academy’s goal has been to build a premier academic institution in Santa Clarita. This summer Trinity took a big step toward that goal.

Trinity was granted its accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.  Achieving accreditation ensures that students graduating from Trinity will have valid transcripts for college and university acceptance, they can confidently apply for scholarships, transfer credits and they will have their credentials recognized by future employers.

“This is an amazing milestone for our school and speaks so highly of the hard work of our faculty and staff for this outstanding achievement,” says Liz Caddow, Founder and Head of School for Trinity. “The last thing a parent wants to contemplate when selecting a school is whether his or her student’s transcripts will be accepted for college, and now parents will have the confidence that Trinity’s course of study and learning environment has been approved and validated by WASC.”

Chuck Evans, Executive Consultant with Paideia, Inc., an educational consulting firm, has been consulting with Trinity for 3 years and adds, “I have worked with many schools around the country and I have never seen a school as well prepared to meet their accreditation requirements as Trinity. There is exceptional leadership there and the education standards are set very high. It doesn’t surprise me that they received the highest possible results on their accreditation review. Trinity is becoming one of the better academic institutions in the country.”

“There is clearly an environment at Trinity where high expectations for students are clearly communicated,” said Ms. Gerri Chizeck, of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges Accrediting Commission. Ms. Chizeck came to Trinity to complete the field report portion of the accreditation and was effusive in her praise of the school. "Respect and obedience are emphasized not only in writing and on classroom bulletin boards, but they are accentuated in action by both faculty and students.” Ms. Chizeck goes on to say, “Discussion, exchange and self-expression are encouraged in the classroom and reflected in written materials and observed in classes. A large administration and learning resources staff offer extra support to students.  Trinity students are polite, well-behaved and engaged in learning.  They achieve at a high level.  The school offers many opportunities for self-expression and creativity in addition to its rigorous curriculum.”
