7.8.06 Sad Day today... the end, the begnning of the trek back home. 1 and 1/2 days to get there and we will spend it going through the heat of the mid south. Poor Us. Not really. it has been great doing the with the T. Mammal. We even got to spend some time in his home town, meet his friends and have some beers at the Bikini, which even though its overcrowded the main lady glares when you order more and it kind stinks like too many people, it is a great place to spend time with friends, revisit your past and hurdle new opsticles with the greatest of ease. Hope to put up the Grants and Phoenix vids when we get back, I still have to put some final touches on them. Will see you soon Austin, and rest of America....... we will be back, oh yes, we'll be back. So in sumation this is the last of the tour diary for now. What it now becomes our little place to rant and rave and not talk about what we're doing and all that shit. now it is for fun. If you want to know more about what we;re doing as a band then check out the news section. It hasnt been used in a while but it will be, oh yes, it will be. Much Love and Happiness spread around. Keep in touch America, we'll miss you if you don't.
7.6.06 So we just got into Phoenix, Abes place is quite the nice... yes. The drive went really good today. We stopped in Sedona on the way here and it was amazing. Surrounded by some of the best landscapes in all of America it was hard not to have a continual snile kickin on our faces. We went to check out the Vortexs but the strongest one was off limits do to brush fires that had been sweeping the land lately. Then we went to another Vortex that was located at this weird looking church, and the mountain behind the church stole all of the thunder. It was beautiful. Chris said he couldnt feel the energy and that maybe he just couldnt key in, but I am pretty sure i felt something. not so much a feeling but just a calm and balanced state of mind. I think it is going to help out the show tomorrow. Plus a good night rest will help as well. This being the the end of it all is kind of weird, cause it feels like we are really just getting started, but I will be happy to get back to my kitten and my girl. Hopefully we will pick up a show in El Paso on the way back to help with fuel expenses. We are now extremely in the red, and will continue to be as long as gas prices stay where they are. Jeez, this is crazy, plus we gotta unload a ton of cash for the trailer we rented. no good at all. But back to the Vortex.... it was awesome, in fact i felt so good that while in front of the church and everyone around being all hush hush and respectful I unloaded an awesome scream into the mountain, and then another one... then once we where far enough away and I started getting really good echoes the other dudes joined in, then at the bottom of the mountain we all let a co-scream into the towering beaustys before us. It felt really good, plus the sound was more than just an echo it was vibrating and spinning all around us. YES! Our voices are now inprinted on the most beautiful landscapes in America, at least South West America, and if you think Mountains are the most amazing thing ever. Thats enough for now see you on the Darkside when we return.
7.5.06 Just got done with the show in Grants, not very well recieved by the young ones here. Thats okay though, we're not really up everyones alley as far as musical taste. The drive up was beautiful and the scenery in this town is amazing, I wish we had more time and cash to check out the local looks. Tomorrows drive should be even better than todays, we are going to take the scenic route and Abe is going to show us some "Vortexs", i think thats what there called, it should be amazing. I dont really understand what happened to the show tonight I thought we would actually go over well here. Maybe I am jumping to conclusions because we have only been off stage for about 45 min. Tonight however was the best sounding mix wise. We ran the bass through the PA and Trey just kept his level the same so we had a good mix finally. I am not for sure if I talked about Larimer Loung in here yet, so I will say that it was decent but yet again playing on the 4th of July is a bad idea. Even at a BBQ. Well gotta run and check out some kids playing EMO so we dont look like assholes or anything...maybe we will sell a cd or 2. Kansas City and Denver videos are coming soon just have to find more time to put them up. Love Lots and Live Strong. 7.4.06 Happy B-Day America! We Just watched the shuttle launch from Denver and it was pretty cool. The cheese factor is high however with the whole thing. Boost Patriotism with the biggest Fireworks display ever, a giant rocket skirting off into the sky. Getting ready, however, for LArimer Lounge tonight. Looks like a pretty cool day ahead. Last night we made itno Dnever early so we hit the town to discover its night life. Went to a place called Hi-Dive for Karoke with one of the dudes from Mr. Pac-Man... Gotta say he puts a close running on Beerlands Karoke Night. The people get into it a bit more here it feels like, but I could be wrong. I only saw a bit. Best part of the night.... $1.00 PBR all night! You cant go wrong even if you dont like Karoke. Poor Trey had about 5 beers spilled on him 3 of which were do to my jiggly arms and awesome dance moves. We go on at about 7 pm tonight and the mammal at 6, hopefully they will give us free bbq or something. In other news, I didnt getanymore footage of our 2nd day in Kansas City so there will only be one days worth of footage for you guys to check out, if indeed you are checking it out. The drive from there to here was nice however, Trey would not give up control of the wheel, (i say because of motion sickness, he says because of completing the task.) Also in KC we sold a good number of discs which really helped out since it cost us 140.00 bucks just in gas to get over here. hopefully we will make some of that back tonight because tomorrows drive is going to be longer and probably more expensive. 3.00 bucks a gallon here, I am afraid to see what the prices in Phoenix are. The funny thing is that the shuttle launch used a half ton of fuel every second and the entire launchtook about 2 min. wtf... I hope that doesnt raise the prices on us. Probably not, it's not even the same kind of fuel, but it fuels my fire of disgustwith the amount of waste we use plus the factor of how much we get charged for just trying to make a living. Oh well, Happy Birthday America, dont mess with texas, Lovers live in Virginia, the Sunshine State, Denver its where you want to be... or is that MasterCard. 7.2.06 Chillin in Kansas City at the moment, tonight we go to Jakes Bait Shack for some more rockin good times. Last nights house party was awesome, t. mam made some new friends and was also lovin the party. 2 nights back we were in Norman Ok. Decent time had there, the turn out was great but the show started way to late and people began to get drunk before we were able to get on stage. And when it came time for Abe... well, no one was really left to party with us, and if they were around then they were passed out on the couches or sittin in chairs. Now, back to last nights shindig... we got on, totally packed room, beautiful enviornment, and after the first tune treys guitar just started dropping out periodically. Then he went direct into the amp and on the third song, I blow yet another bass speaker. Better yet, the guy at the music store said I frove the bitch! Never heard of that before, but appearntly it happens when the speaker has more wattage than the head and it tries to pull that amount but cant get it so it goes froze on a foo. (This also happened in Dallas and had to be replaced in Norman.) So I had a brand new speaker for one show and then blew it. Great.. so we just got back from the store now and I put the new one in and its all gravy for now. We shall see how tonights show goes. Also, got to visit the Muscians Friend Warehouse, it's pretty cool alot of cheap stuff, but even more broken stuff. No lie, 3/4 of all the guitars on the wall were broken in some form or fashion, and most every speaker had a crack or dent in them. Weird. Going to try to update the videos now I have one for Dallas and Norman and The Kansas City will be broken into 2 peices since we are here for 2 days. Keep checking back and wish us none blown speaker luck!
6.30.06 Dallas Tx., whoa... So last night was bit odd. I think everyone could agree (even the venue) that there was weird vibe runnin underneath all that loud loud noise. Once again I have been able to put my foot in my mouth. A trait I am becoming quite good at. Luckily I was able to apologize to the Constants guys for kicking one of them in the stomach at our last show.... Oh yeah, my foot in mouth problems also concerns them, but I wont repeat what I said becuase it was supposed to be in good form but came out in horrible disgustin vile stupidness. Got to crash with my man Stu Browne last night and hang for a while hich is nice. We dont get to do this to often. This is by far the best part of this stop on the tour. God Bless StuMerica. I wont go into the show anymore it was weird vibe, we got stiffed on the quarentee by 100% and that was kind of shitty of them but also there were hardly any people out but they should knnow to publicize thier own shows. Ask Abe if you want anymore info on it.\\

6.29.06 Sitting in the kind home of the Numerators from Lubbock/in Lubbock, about to hit the road once again. Last night show was good, it kinda cleared out before we went on but the kids who stayed loved it.... i think. Merch is selling steadly but not outrageously. T. Mammal ripped it up as per usual. He even had some kids singing along to his tunes, damn, that was awesome. Sound Guy Andrew did some wicked awesome lights for both of us, t mam even got the spot light treatment once and it was rad all though i think he didnt expect it and the giggles could be heard from the mic. He said something like, "I died am I am going to Heaven. 401K." Big ups to Andrews Robot "Outlander" he is wise beyond our years. So it looks like onward and eastward to Dallas for tonights show, it holds properties to be a rockin show. Lubbock was the 3rd show, Houston-Austin veing the first and second. Super Happy Fun Land was fun.... check T. Mams audio zine for details, Austin was intense but with few to veiw its intensity, but thats what happens when you play in your home town too many times and then try to have people come out for a tour show. Oh well, live and learn, see you tomorrow. F.v.E
