English artist Gayle Mason S.O.F.A works mainly in coloured pencil, acrylic or more recently mixed media.  Gayle's work recently won an award for the artist ' whose paintings will catch the eye, and stand out from the crowd with their quality'.

She says

"'I have a deep love and respect for all animals and am usually surrounded by my own Rough Collies as I paint. I try to produce work that captures the 'special something'  that each individual animal possesses. I am fascinated by detail, whether that be in the fur, feathers, rocks or any aspect of the natural world and I strive to recreate it on the paper or canvas.

Gayle's originals and limited edition prints are held in private and corporate collections throughout Europe, Canada, the USA, Australia, New Zealand and Russia.

Her 'up close and personal' series of cats have proved to be very popular.  'Eye Spy' was the best selling print for the K2 gallery at the 2005 Autumn Fair held at the  NEC
She is currently developing a portfolio of British wildlife as well continuing to add to her range of dog and cat images.

Gayle is a full Member of the Society of Feline Artists and an elected Companion of the International Guild of Artists.

She lives with her family and a crowd of Collies in Yorkshire, England.
