Welcome to SiteKreator's First Hackathon!

Cool Ideas and Cold Weather at SiteKreator's Office

This weekend we've organized the first ever SiteKreator hackathon. A hackathon is a day-long event where everyone at the company works together on a couple of cool ideas that they have, but which, for whatever reason, never found their place on our product roadmap.

The event turned out the be a challenge, not only because we had too many ideas that we wanted to implement, but also because we had given ourselves just one day to do it. On the day of the hackathon, our European office where the hackathon was held, was hit by a snow storm! But cold weather and cool ideas turned out to be a great combo for a successful hackathon.

The first idea that we decided to implement on the day of the hackathon was to add swipe support for our galleries on iPhone, iPad or any other mobile devices and tablets. This feature quickly become our favorite - we've been "testing" it on various SiteKreator galleries for quite a bit throughout the day. Looking at photos is always a lot of fun, especially when it is work, isn't it?

The second feature that was voted to be implemented during our hackathon gives website owners full control over the way their content gets shared on Facebook and Google+.

Head on over to our blog for a more detailed description of these features, along with a demo video that we've put together for you during this emotion-packed hackathon day.
