All commissioned by partners, wives, husbands, company directors to
celebrate birthdays, retirements or just for fun. The work is all in pen
and ink with watercolour washes added and depict the subjects interests
scattered around the central figure. I try not to be a cruel
caricaturist, indeed I have difficulty distorting faces as much as
Gerald Scarfe and I enjoy getting a good likeness more than anything
else (that being the most difficult part of the work).
Apart from the group works which vary according to content, they are all of the same image size of just under A4, framed and
mounted on ivory board with wash lines and set in a ready to hang black
frame with a gilt inlay.
